Sbicca Del Mar is a neighborhood gem for over 28 years, offering classic California coastal cuisine. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing, and pleasant, with beautiful ocean views. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently great. Specific meals like the Korean Beef Lettuce Wraps are packed with bold, balanced flavor, and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken is perfectly crisp and juicy. There is a nice selection of items on the menu. Service is friendly, casual, and outstanding; one server demonstrated unreasonable hospitality and provided wonderful customer service. The wine program is impressive, with a vast by-the-glass selection and half-off bottles on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Desserts are tasty too. However, one visit was very disappointing for a birthday celebration, where the restaurant did not provide anything for the occasion. Dinner was expensive, and such treatment should not receive a 5 star rating. Despite this, Sbicca Del Mar is a local favorite for a quiet, romantic Cal/Ital meal.
