“Came around 5pm on a Monday and there was just one other person in line. I was looking forward to trying the Pandan and the matcha but both were not for me. I ended up getting a split scoop of the Jasmine (more on the floral side) and Thai tea which were both good. They have a rotating menu and I liked the variety/unique flavors they offered. “Every time I visit Salt & Straw, I’m reminded that ice cream can truly be an experience, not just dessert. The flavors are incredibly creative while still feeling intentional and balanced… each scoop tastes thoughtfully crafted with high-quality ingredients rather than just being unique for the sake of it.

“I’m gonna give 4 star because we love ice cream but the kid working today was the stingiest sample giver ever. Tbh I’m shocked how little was the sample, literally from corner like there is no ingredients in it me to understand actual flavor.

He ruined my ice cream experience literally. We came there happy want some ice cream, you don’t need to make us feel bad like we ask for something wrong. I thought maybe he owns the store or his relatives lol.

We were talking on the way back with my husband, if the owner would know how funny his samples, I think he would be mad. That’s not a good service.

“This place is the BEST. Fresh, delicious, and unique flavors and a phenomenal assortment of toppings. We've spoken with Michael (who may be the owner?) a few times and he could not be sweeter or more accommodating. Brought some family by that was in town, and they aren't big on froyo, but raved about this. They're visiting again soon and said the only must-do on their list is Yogurt World.

The only negative thing I could possible say is that they're not open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!! We could come by every single day it's that good!“

The views, facilities and lets not forget the music and giving artists a venue to share thier talents. What a Great venue for locals and the surrounding communities. I would like to add, it is very difficult for Anthony and his team to keep this business going. I have notice a few people and groups are bringing in thier own food and drinks. This makes it very difficult for the Campstore to stay in business. All the things they do for the holidays and Jurassic Animals for the kids, this cost a lot. “Ok, I am from NY and love pizza. I am not a NYC pizza snob though and welcome all iterations of 'za! I have to say that this pizza is probably the best I have ever had of its type. They are "Roman" slices, meaning focaccia crust. Variety of slice options are insane with creative combinations that are not only imaginative, but insanely delicious. Slices are cooked upon ordering for supreme freshness. I especially like the Lussuria - prosciutto, black pepper, mashed potato, mozzarella and olive oil. (I NEVER thought I would like mashed potato on a slice, but it's insanely good.) The help here is amazing as well. Caesar was working the oven and he gave great suggestions and explained the product well. Very inviting and definitely steered me in the right direction. Need gluten free? They got it! Will make a GF slice for you right on the spot. I challenge anyone to have just one slice. I had to go back for 2 more. Enjoy!“

“I literally came looking for an Oreo coffee frappe, and even though this spot was a donut, the owner went above and beyond and made me an incredible Vietnamese coffee slushy that was next level.

I also tried a fresh Fruity Pebbles mochi donut, and WOW. Not overly sweet, perfectly fresh, and absolutely addictive. I had to come back immediately.

Amazing customer service, unforgettable drinks, and dangerously good donuts. This place is a hidden gem.“

“The flavors are great, but they don’t do pre packaged pints, they hand pack them by the order, and it was kind of disappointing that they don’t actually fill them all the way.

One of the pints we got could have easily fit another half scoop or so, it looks like she smoothed down the scoop, then just left it fairly shy of being filled, instead of adding enough to fill the container.

The price was $15/pint.“

“A pretty cool, straightforward matcha cafe in Kearny Mesa next to Brothers Mexican and Chaba Thai Kitchen. When you enter, you’re hit with the cool A/C, medium-loud contemporary music playlist, and a usually vacant interior filled with small tables. You order at the kiosks in the front right of the store next to the counter. It’s pretty much self-service matcha.

I’ve only had the matcha latte and the matcha tea. Both are really tasty, smooth, and reasonably earthy. The matcha latte is best iced with 50% sweetness and whole milk. Super refreshing without being overly sweet or masking the flavor profile of the matcha too much.

For some, the self-service aspect of this place might be a turnoff, but for me it’s kind of a nice reprieve from your typical monotonous service-worker interactions. Overall, really good matcha latte and matcha tea, a bit pricey (but that’s matcha in 2026), and pleasant atmosphere.“
