“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.Kid-friendliness: Yes“

“Whenever I see a mcconnells ice cream store, I've got to stop by and get me some haha. This location is very clean and offers a variety of flavors and samples. Easy access to park or sit outside. I was helped by a friendly worker who was by her self but took care of everything and there was no wait. I chose the small size but I like how I can pick two flavors. I went with earl grey lavender and my gf got strawberry & shortbread cookie. The plus side is you can get a free cone on top. Also they were giving out free cookies which was awesome! I recommend trying mcconnells“
“Please serve bigger scoops for what people are paying for is all I'm saying respectfully so. I paid $9 for two tiny scoops wasn't enough for myself and a baby. So had to end up giving my rations to the baby which was mostly all of the ice cream. I'll try again another time in hopes of good changes.“

It looks like locals and those staying at the campground (the Camp Store is located within the campground) all enjoyed the place. “If you love strawberries you need to come here. They have so many yummy options made with their strawberries. I got a bowl of just the strawberries and they were so good. I also recommend the strawberry lemonade. No designated parking. It's a walk up window but they do have some minimal seating.“
“I love this place! I usually end up going to yogurtland because it is the most common, but we stopped in here and was so surprised! Compared to yogurtland I really enjoy the taste of their tart flavor. The fruits are always extremely fresh and look like they had just been prepared. The shop is also extremely clean which I really appreciate. I think it's so clean because the owner seems to be there, vs a lot of kids at yogurtland. It's been a weekly outing and every time I pass by I always end up stopping in. The owner is always extremely attentive and gets you what you need.“
“We were so happy to have found this adorable candy store/ice cream shop while visiting Carlsbad! We tried their delicious truffles, amazing ice cream, and dole whips. Everything was wonderful and the service was great both times we went. They also have a great selection of candy, including lots of novelty items. We chatted with the owners for a bit, too, and they were so friendly and seem to really care about the area and their store. We highly recommend it!!“

The toilet was dirty and there was a good size chip in the tile of the shower bench. Broken light fixture in the hall. Asked upon check in if I wanted to decline housekeeping services in exchange for giving a meal to a family of 4. So if I want my room cleaned then some family is going hungry? Not going to do that.“
