“Excellent Decaf Americano. Definitely the best I've had while visiting San Diego.Chill atmosphere, and personable service.Note: I noticed on the way out that there was a pathway from the main drag. Just look for the metal gate - this makes the shop much easier to access, if you're not coming up from the beach :)“
“We ordered a four layer birthday cake filled with Bavarian cream. It was absolutely delicious. We also bought croissants and an apple strudel, which were heavenly. Everyone at the party raved about the cake. I highly recommend this bakery and am eager to “
“barista dexter was very kind and explained the different coffee flavors. i was not sure what to get and he assured me that if i didn't like it, i can switch it for something else. very good customer service and welcoming aesthetic place. the donuts look very good and they have nice greeting cards!“
“Great variety of places selling food and drinks. Close to the Carlsbad premium outlets so can stop on the way there or back. Loved their selection of milk teas, shrimp and pork shumai. Has lots of food options to choose from including tacos, pizza, BBQ, Vietnamese and Thai fares. It has plenty of places to sit including an amazing patio seating. There is a place selling craft cocktails inside as well. Definitely recommend!Parking: Plenty of free parking in the lotKid-friendliness: Lots of families with kidsWheelchair accessibility: Accessible for people with disabilities“
“Love this spot! I have been here a few times and we hosted our daughters 1st birthday at the Lullabar. She loved it and everyone had a great time. Everything was clean and the decor is beautiful. The play area is so great to let little ones explore and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommend for drinks or a birthday party! They even have a nail salon and yoga! A momma must visit for sure!“
“Menu needs a legend listed! DC stands for decaf. The Peach Paradise is delicious (but can you adjust sweetness? She didn't ask us). The natural foaming is so pretty. Sugar Moon is open late and is cute to hang out in. There's a restroom too, so it's comfortable.“
“Hearty west coast breakfast menu. Decent Latte. Service was good. Items were fresh. My mushroom and spinach omlette was good. Hot sauces brought to the table, but we were never asked about butter or jam for toast till we asked. Coffee refills had to be asked vs offered.Inside seating is cramped and lots of fott traffic due to multiple service areas. Outside looks calmer.I would go back if someone else suggests it, and would not fine with the choice. It would not be my first choice.“
“This is mainly for their amazing pastries! Not only are the huge and beautiful to look at but the taste is wonderful!! Their price is reasonable compared to many other coffee shops or cafes around. I got the Nutella croissant and it was heaven! Will be frequenting more for sure!!!“
“My Brother-In-Law gets his coffee beans here and recommended. I was able to see Doug at work roasting the beans. Our favorite local coffee roasters. Tried a hot espresso latte and it was very good. Ended up buying a small bag of Snickerdoodle coffee in a small bag and fired up the Moccamaster and home the next day and it was very flavorful. You will love La Costa Coffee Roasting!“
“Very cute boba tea place located in La Costa Town Square. Walked in and saw a good amount of small tables to sit at and a couple iron tables outside as well. The menu was on the wall by the front counter/register. Made it easy to decide what we wanted while we waited our turn to order. There was also a self-service kiosk by the entrance as well-which we initially didn't notice. There's a good amount of various drinks, offering only one size, and price is comparable to other boba tea places. There's also a case of baked goodies at the front counter as well. The girl working was very nice and friendly and even though she was by herself, she was very efficient in taking orders and getting the drinks out in a timely manner. We tried the Creamy Jasmine milk tea with boba and the Taro Lover with chunks of taro. They were both very delicious! With the perfect amount of sweetness according to both our tastes. I also appreciated that the girl made sure I was ok with the taro chunks that come in my drink, the Taro Lover. All in all, we had a great first visit and happy we decided to try this place. We already plan to go back in the following weeks to try more of their specialties.“
“The cutest spot! Different vibe from the og location in San Marcos but change is never a bad thing! Super clean with a good amount of tables, and seats next to outlets which makes the perfect study spot! The coffee itself is amazing and the service is always great and quick. Super friendly staff and overall the best cafe around“
“I love Happy Lemon, can never go wrong. They adjust sweet level / ice, and the drinks taste great. I usually get the C4 (Kumquat, no lychee) and it's such a treat friendly staff as usual, and most locations I've been to are usually busy. Their waffle puffs are also so gooood... this location in Carlsbad is perfect, at the mall.. grab your drink and shop! Great vibes!“
“we visited on the weekend so the parking lot was completely full and ended up parking down the block which wasn't a big deal but take a look in the parking lot before driving by because you might be lucky and catch a spot. we had a pour over coffee which didn't take too long to be prepared and the staff behind the counter was generally nice and quick as well. i will note that they did have a line out the door and all the tables were full so it seems like the spot to be on a saturday morning. the line although it was long (10+ minutes) moved fairly quickly. if you're in the area, believe the hype and make sure you stop by here for a cup of coffee.“
“Cafe Topes was super busy when my friend and I came for breakfast (Saturday at 11am, duh it's busy!) but the service is so quick and efficient we were in and out in thirty minutes. You order at the front, the person who took our order was super helpful and friendly (I wish I got his name) and made great recommendations. We got the crack breakfast burrito, the 222, and two delicious lemonades. The food came out incredibly fast, piping hot, and super yummy. We really enjoyed the inside seating, although the outside is just as nice when it's not rainy! Would go again, and probably will soon!“
“My wife and I went there for the first time a few weeks ago, early on a Saturday morning. The place was busy, and the staff were quick to help us make our selections, which were kind of difficult as there is so much good stuff to choose from! The owners take great pride in this new location and it shows. Highly recommend!“
“This is for the coffee/service/ambiance. I've gone there twice the last 2 weeks to work around 11am and drink some coffee. Both times have been super nice, good quiet outdoor patio to work from, good wifi and solid house coffee. The girls behind the counter are really friendly and quick. It makes a huge difference for me when you order your coffee and are greeted with a friendly person. I can't wait to try the lox bagel next time, because it looked amazing!!!“
“This was hands down some of the best coffee I have ever had. The service was amazing and I would 100% come back. This place is such a hidden gem! The three legged doodle hanging around was the cherry on top ;)Kid-friendliness: Perla is so sweet to put little one and makes her feel so special!“
“This is a small but lovely cafe filled with couches and other seating arrangements that make it feel warm and cozy. The one thing to note is this is ON a Church campus - which we were unaware of when going. The staff was friendly and the drinks were incredible. I had the lavendar lemonade as I don't drink coffee and it was quite tasty. But, we did feel as though everyone was staring and making us feel slightly unwelcome as we were not members of the church. People seemed to wonder why we were there, so something to note if stopping by!“
“I had high hopes for the brown sugar sage latte but it fell short for me. The sage flavor wasn't really there for me and the almond milk made my drink taste a bit off. I would get oatmilk next time. The tarragon turkey sandwich, however, was AMAZING. 5/5 for the sandwich. The service was quick and the vibe of the shop was cute. A bit expensive but the quality is there.“
“I eat bagels way more than I should and I know that everyone has.different tastes in bagels but I promise, you will not be disappointed with inglorious bagels. I just had their cheese bagel toasted with cream cheese and sliced tomatoes and it was a 10/10.“
“Always want coffee and found this spot hidden within other shops and what seemed to be apartments, well it turned out to be great! Little hard to find but once you do it makes sense. The staff was good, helpful and nice. It's tiny little shop with little room so definitely not a sit and enjoy your coffee type spot. The lattes were good but not great, the foam decor/art isn't their thing for sure. While not a must it's always a nice touch. Not sure I would come back for sure but in a crunch I wouldn't stay away.“
“The most elite coffee chain in San Diego. Many others are great, but I always come back to Lofty. The Carlsbad location is the newest, and I love the outdoor large seating area. I should invest in Lofty since I've been funding them for years and years lol. My forever fave.“
“We always enjoy this restaurant, but the last time we visited it was an exceptional experience. We were there just after opening. Coffee was very good. The waitress was so friendly and professional, and she recommended the 3 Benedict sampler. Yummy! My boyfriend and I shared it. It was enough for two, and DELICIOUS!! Especially the portobello mushroom bacon one! We would never have selected this. Glad we took her suggestion. Looking forward to our return!“
“I throughly enjoy this establishment, the barista Kit provided superb service the bird and the rock were expertly shown in the latte art in the same way that an interpretive dance expresses the deepest emotions of one’s soul. Speaking of soulful the barista (Kit) gave a riveting reaccountment of how they acquired their fabulous jewelry that left us in tears. It was most fabulous and I shall most certainly be coming back with a smile creeping upon my face.“
“Discovered this gem of a coffee place tucked away in a corner by JCPenney at the mall, and it's become a new favorite. Their vanilla and caramel lattes are top-notch, hitting the sweet spot just right. The abundance of seating and tasty snacks make it a perfect spot to chill or catch up with a friend. I also totally love the abundant coffee-themed decor scattered all around - it adds a cozy and inviting vibe to the place. Very polite and friendly staff as well. Definitely worth a visit if you're in need of a caffeine fix or just want to enjoy a relaxing coffee experience while you're shopping at the mall.“
“This is my favorite brunch spot in all of north county! I come here all the time and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are almost always friendly, and the food never misses. I love that when I order to go the quality doesn't change! My favorite item is probably the French toast (coconut crusted) and the avo toast! I just can't seem to get enough. They also make a variety of speciality mimosas which are so good! I love the lavender one! I love the outdoor dining in experience so much with the larger dining area.“
“There's live jazz music every Friday and Saturday night. They have a new food vendor every Friday night that makes dinner. Besides this it's a great place for meeting anyone, because they have a drink for everyone, wine, coffee, soda, champaign. Anything you like. Anyone would be happy.Parking: It's right next to the coaster station in Carlsbad so it's the best place to park because there's plenty of parking. And then you can walk to Baba. There's also street parking, but more limited.“
“We have stopped here a few times this week while on our vacation. The service is prompt. The food and drinks are standard issue, so they are consistent with what I am used to. It's the baristas for me!!! Customer service is great. I felt comfortable and appreciated. We chatted about a few things during my time there and they went above and beyond for me each time. The only reason I am giving a 4-star review is because the bathroom l used needed attention. It reminded me of a random gas station bathroom instead of one at a Starbucks. I was surprised. Nevertheless, if you want to get in and out quickly with your order and great customer service, stop here!“
“I came here right before work to order a coffee. I got a cold brew with condensed milk. I thought my drink would come out quickly because cold brews are typically pre-brewed. Instead, it took 15 minutes to get my cold brew. Luckily the drink tasted good, but it's not worth waiting for 15 minutes. I will add that it was busy, so I guess I should have expected a little bit of a wait. I probably won't come here that often.“
“Cici is the only reason I like going to Starbucks. She’s the best. She remembers peoples names and always goes the extra mile. It’s always busy when she’s there and very slow when she’s not. Her energy brings in all the business. Thanks Cici for being awesome.“
“Overall really nice. Staff is great. Very friendly. Hotel very nice but could use a little upkeep to make it a 5 star review. The toilet was dirty and there was a good size chip in the tile of the shower bench. Broken light fixture in the hall. Asked upon check in if I wanted to decline housekeeping services in exchange for giving a meal to a family of 4. So if I want my room cleaned then some family is going hungry? Not going to do that.“
“Delicious gelato! Not way too sweet like most American places do it. Variety of real-tasting options. And the price for the portion you get is fair! Would definitely return if in the area. Storefront is very cute and the workers are genuine Italians!“
