“Darshan has the best sandwiches, pastries, and coffee in Del Mar. My kids love to watch them make croissants in the kitchen. Great wifi/spot to work if you are in the area, and has good predictable hours compared to other places. The parking spots are helpful in a town where that is always an issue. Their focaccia is DELISH!!!“

“The mochi is so soft and yummy. We tried the mango, strawberry, red bean, and cookies and cream. Best to eat the mochis on the same day while soft. We also bought the salted caramel mini cake and the white cake with strawberries which were good and not too sweet. But I definitely preferred the mochi over the cakes.“

“Without a doubt the best pastries in the area! The croissants are absolutely out of this world, the layers are incredibly flaky and the exterior is perfectly crisp.

There’s usually a line before they even open each morning, and many items sell out by 10–11 a.m., so I’d definitely recommend arriving early.

“Finally submitting my review for the most wonderful coffee shop I have been to in the United States. If you have visited San Diego and not gone to Lilli you have missed out on the biggest gem the city has to offer. Not only was the coffee, ambiance, and vibe impeccable but their service is unmatched. “This bakery is in between Ross and Mitsuwa. Parking is tight in this plaza where you’ll need to fold in your side mirrors and suck in to get in and out of your car.

Super cutesy vibe and pretty delicate desserts. Almost reminds me of Nothing Bundt Cake interior with merch, candles, gifts, flowers. Things you can pick up last minute if you’re on your way to a party. They offer cheesecake, cupcake, cookies, cakes and few others. Lattes, matcha, Hojicha, teas and lemonade.

I got the earl gray lavender cupcake and black sesame matcha Hojicha drink and lychee hibiscus tea drink.

The cupcake was moist, not too sweet, had some grittiness to it from the seeds. Tasted the earl gray and lavender combo. It was delicious, I could have ate the entire thing but had to share the other half.

There were a few tables outside but none inside.“

“Tasty Bakery absolutely delivers. The pork buns stole the show, stuffed with juicy pork, sweet onion, and egg with that perfect ratio of filling to fluffy bread. So much flavor in every bite. The coconut buns were just as incredible: soft, fragrant, and dangerously easy to finish in one go. You can feel the care in everything they bake. I'm already planning my next visit to work through their pastries and cakes, this spot is a gem.“

“Our family absolutely loved The Macaron Shop SD! These are without a doubt the best macarons we’ve ever had—fresh, beautifully made, and packed with incredible flavor. Every single one was delicious.

The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the shop itself is absolutely beautiful. One of the highlights was being able to watch the team preparing and baking the macarons right behind the counter. Seeing the craftsmanship and care that goes into every macaron was really impressive and made the experience even more special.

“Like a few others here, I am a native New Yorker with a love for authentic and delicious rugulach with proper and freash ingredients.Chewy's rugulach is the best there is here on the west coast.I pick up the chocolate rugulach at the cookie bar at Whole Foods Market in El Segundo, and you should too! Just the most delicious snack one could ask for. Love the raspberry (not usually a Raspberry fan of anything) and the apricot as well!“

“Hidden gem. I'm not sure why this filipino bakery has so little reviews as the bakery buns are so good (way better than 85 Bakery down the street) and only $1 per bun right now. The pan de coco (Bakery bun with coconut flakes inside) is so good. It is located inside the Vinh Hung Supermarket, just inside the left hallway after you enter from the main entrance. Cash is recommended but I believe they also take card. One of the best filipino bakeries I've been to in the US.“

“I’ve gone twice, and tried the matcha einspanner and the coconut pandan matcha. I prefer the einspanner, as the foam on top was slightly salty which compliments the matcha. The coconut pandan matcha was decent, and their other drinks (non matcha) are decent as well. Nice place to study, as they have outlets“

Incredibly delicious, beautifully designed, and so clearly made with care.
