The food was wonderful! Clean, bright, fresh, delicious! The staff was quick, talented and professional! If you're in Southern California and want great sushi - Boto Sushi Del Mar is the place to go! We ate a California Roll with crab, Salmon Roll and a crunchy roll with tempura shrimp - yum!
Our first time and we can't wait until the next time. We started with the wagyu beef sushi, then we did black and white snapper, and one of the mango rolls. Everything was extremely fresh and the service waa outstanding

The toro on the Sushi Trust Me option and the inventive omakase are standout choices, featuring great nigiri sushi dressed properly. While the California hand roll could use more filling, the hand rolls are solid, and the service is good. The festive Christmas ambience adds to the charm of the place. The miso soup, side salad, chicken katsu, and black miso cod are all delectable choices, along with the exceptional freshness of their raw fish. Boto Sushi Del Mar is a go-to spot for Japanese food enthusiasts, though it’s wise to make a reservation as the place gets busy. The only downside? They're closed on Sundays.
