Niban Japanese Restaurant Reviews
Best sushi ever. I go at least twice a month
I’ve been going here for over 31 years now and this place is awesome!!👏 Best place to go for a Japanese Katsu-Curry noodles/Udon and sushi! And most of all, prices are very fair!
Amazing lunch deals, the girl at the counter was super friendly and helped us navigate their menu. Fried seafood was delicious, bento box portions very generous. My daughter and I loved it, will def be back with family and friends!

Niban Japanese Restaurant offers great food at a great price. Their menu features delicious sushi options like the Lion King Roll, albacore tuna supreme roll, and Dragon Roll, as well as Japanese favorites like chicken teriyaki, shrimp, and gyozas. The service is friendly and quick, and the restaurant has an outdoor patio that's dog-friendly. A great choice for those on a budget, Niban provides a welcoming atmosphere and excellent value. It is a long-standing neighborhood spot that has been serving the community since the mid-2000s, maintaining its recipe and portions over the years. The lunch and dinner specials are excellent deals, with dishes like teriyaki chicken that are freshly grilled with just the right amount of char and crispiness, and a sauce that is not too sweet or thick. The restaurant is part of a group that has served San Diego for decades, making it a favorite for families and anyone celebrating special occasions. It’s a place where first-timers and regulars alike can enjoy good Japanese food in a warm, casual setting.
