I’m consistently impressed by the quality, the elegant flavors, the sophisticated combinations and the kindness of Eugene, the owner, and the chef’s. I eat here as often as I can.
WOW! Your own little taste of Japan without the long flight. No joke, this has been the best sushi I’ve had in the States and is on par with some of the better sushi spots I’ve tried in Japan. You can tell each piece is crafted to perfection through the creative display and tastes. Definitely will be back!
Oh my goodness I loved this place. I wanted somewhere away from the touristy hustle and bustle and I chose this spot. My favorite dish was the salmon Oshi roll. 👌🏻

Takaramono Sushi is a hidden gem and one of the best sushi experiences in San Diego. Every dish is not only delicious but beautiful, incredibly fresh, and full of unique flavors. The quality of the fish is outstanding, and the chefs truly care about every detail. This is not your typical sushi restaurant with the same rolls; each plate feels special, from premium nigiri and sashimi to creative specialty rolls. Highlights include the Ahi Fiesta Roll, hamachi special, salmon belly, eel, toro, scallops, ikura, and miso soup with truffle and salmon. Every dish comes with a description and direction for optimal enjoyment. The food, presentation, atmosphere, and attention to detail are all exceptional, and there wasn’t a single dish not enjoyed.
