“We came here with our dog on a rainy Saturday night. We were so glad to find a place with a covered patio. But then we were pleasantly surprised with how amazing the beer and pizza were. Duh. It’s in the name. lol. Anyhow there was some confusion about our pizza but Donny went above and beyond to make it right. It was a little hectic because it was so busy but if we weren’t visiting we’d definitely be regulars. Try the Detroit style hot honey, I’ll be dreaming about it.“

The tri-tip was very good, nicely done. Good flavor and good serving size. Chimicurri sauce was also very good. The fries were served hot and crisp, mixed grilled veg serving was very small, focaccia bread (not shown) was fresh.
The counter service was slow, we were ignored for too long, with no acknowledgement.
We sat on outside patio area, staff was slow to clean tables (there were crows feeding off the leftover plates).“

I loved the cozy interior with brick and wood. My parents are regulars, so they know the server, and he was super nice. They have a great Old Fashioned, and we all got the Seafood Trio (mine with double cod). The fingerling potatoes were to die for. It was all delicious. Amazing Caesar salad, too. “Some of the best ice cream I have ever had is served here at Handels. They had at least 30 different types of ice cream and so many cones. The serving size was SO big. My two sons ordered a two scoop in a dipped waffle cone bowl, and got served a 5 scoop and the cone was 3 times as big as it was in the picture. The service was also great. I was on a (work) trip with friends, the kind of trip where we end more nights than not with an ice cream cone and a pleasant walk through town. Stumbled upon JoJo‘s one night. Everyone chose their flavor and their cookie and we all sampled each other’s – like true foodie friends do!
