“We were staying in the hospital down the street and were unfamiliar with the restaurants in the area. We had already had 2 horrible experiences at other places in the area so our expectations were that the food in the area just isn’t great. Enter Compadres. I called and got a voicemail so I’m guessing they don’t take phone orders. I can overlook that. I drove down and ordered a 3 piece meal for both of us and it could be the best chicken I have ever tasted. Rice and beans were hot and delicious and the tortillas (both corn and flour) were hot and authentic Mexican. The hot sauces were all amazing and the place was busy, clean and friendly. Do yourself a favor and stop in the next time you are in the area. You will not regret it.“

“Friday, July 24th. The happy hour drinks weren't that good. They were watered down and the drinks weren't made right. The bartender possibly doesn't have enough experience. Their house wine wasn't tasty as well. But, the food wasn't too bad. I probably would choose a different spot around main street in Vista like Mikko sushi, best pizza or belching beaver on my next hangout.“

We had riesling, beer, spicy chicken wings, garlic noodles, and the yummiest over baked and glazed brussels sprouts. To top it off, we ordered the bread pudding cream brulee and I must say the flavors of the vanilla ice cream, bread pudding, chocolate, and creme brulee all melts in your mouth. get ready for a party 🥳 in your mouth. “Delicious food and drink! I’m from out of town but visit San Diego regularly. I always look forward to eating at Karl Strauss Brewing Co. One of my favorite meals is the black bean burger. It’s so delicious - tastes as good as a regular burger to me. So much flavor. The service is great and employees are friendly. I’m usually by myself so I eat at the bar and they sometimes offer samples of beers that compliment my meal. Looking forward to my next visit! 😋“

“Chicken Plus will always have a special place in my heart. I still remember when my dad used to take me here back in elementary school — it was our go-to spot for a delicious meal and some quality time together. Every visit was a treat, and even now, all these years later, I keep coming back.

The food is just as incredible as I remember — always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. But what really sets Chicken Plus apart is the heart behind it. Oggi's has an extensive casual menu of fresh salads, specialty pizzas, burgers and gluten-free, healthy options that pair perfectly with craft beer and cocktails. The garlic knots bread appetizer is so YUM! Definitely order the larger portion size. I like the option of ordering Half or Full portion size for most dishes. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely will be back to this Swamis. The outdoor patio is fully covered which is a plus. Lots of on street parking. There's casual bar seating and tables throughout the establishment and a lot of outdoor spots. Recommend going for brunch and then walking into Escondido for some local shopping. Beer on tap, full bar. Great fresh juices and smoothies.“

“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“

“What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site.

There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too.
You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door.

You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

Parking: There are two small parking lots and plenty of street parking.“

The buffalo cauliflower was incredible! The staff was super friendly and even tried to help us load their app. Their app isn’t very easy to load, so ask for help!
