“The tamales were outstanding. We ordered 6 tamales to go; beef, chicken, pork, one green and one red of each. This allowed us to taste a variety and we were impressed. The masa was soft and the fillings so tasty. We especially liked the green beef tamales, but they were all very good. I need to go back soon.“

I travel from chula vista san diego up to this place for some chicharron! then i take advantage and get some tortillas. I always get a burrito because its fresh! FRESH! they have a butcher place so the meat is fresh all the time not frozen for their kitchen. you can get freshly cooked tortillas still warm from the thermal. they have lots of mexican candy and chips! my favorite place to go!“

“3/15/2023 - Came randomly ( was starving )I was asking for recommendations and Ariamna and she said try the Que Torta (has all three meats ) was not sure what to expect but I was impressed! ( The bread ? is so fresh and toasted nicely . I got it with everything on it ♥️???Everything was made with fresh products and ❤️. I also got a fresh ( pineapple ?, orange ? and carrot ?) it was made fresh !It was so delicious ?Hands downs one of the best tortas I’ve had in a long time . “One of my favorite Mexican spots in Esco. Last time I ordered a plate of fries (big enough for like three people!!)a fish burrito, and a medium tamarindo. The tamarindo was really fresh not too sweet. My food was done like 6 minutes after I ordered. Everything tasted incredible like it always does. I truly enjoyed the creamy Chipotle Salsa with my fish burrito.“

“I live in Temecula but every time I head south to San Diego I stop here in Escondido the food's good and they haven't raised the prices. So outrageously high like most places you can get a bean and cheese burrito and a quesadilla for about 10 bucks and that's plenty of food“

“One of the best quick-serve Mexican restaurants in town. Excellent Adobada and Carnitas tacos that are very flavorful and lean with crispy bits and served with a pile of sliced radishes. They have one of the very few salsa bars in town with a range of five red and green salsas, from mild to very hot. The veggies include nicely pickled carrots, chile peppers, jalapenos, and red onions along with sliced cucumbers and plenty of limes. The chips are not only free which is a rarity, but they're freshly made, hot, and very tasty. I can't think of a better lunch, especially for $6.30! But they don't appear to have beer or wine.

“Hard to find an on the border around san Diego now. But on the way back home from the San Diego Safari Park we saw this. No way it's still open!? So we drove up and to our surprise it was. We decided to go in and have a bite. Took them a while to seat us and it was busy. More people to serve then they had servers. But they did a good job with the workers they had, they were very friendly. The food was good, definitely not the best Mexican food you can have. But brought some good memories from years ago. We ordered a couple beers and the queso and guac for an appetizer. The queso was just regular nacho cheese but good. I got a combination plate that had 4 items and rice and beans and girlfriend chose the pick 3 items.

Combination plate included: mini chimichanga, hard taco, green chicken enchilada, and a red cheese enchilada.

Pick 3 included: rice and beans, green pork enchilada, chile relleno, and hard taco.

Out of those items our favorites were, the beans, chile relleno, cheese enchilada, pork enchilada, and the hard taco.

I would definitely go back if where in the area and want a quick Mexican meal and have a bit a time on our hands.“

“I've been coming here since the construction of the Super Target. Food is always fresh. My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but I always add chicken . So shrimp and chicken quesadillas. Oh. The tacos de Carne asada are huge. I make 2 out of 1.“
