“We were in the area and decided to find a good spot for Mexican food. We tried their carne asada fries, surf n turf burrito, fish and carnitas tacos and horchata. Carnitas tacos was excellent and pork was flavorful. Surf n Turf burrito is full of flavor and good amount of meat and shrimp. Family enjoyed fish taco and CA fries. Had better horchata elsewhere. If you’re in the area, definitely worth trying. We came before dinner crowd and the place was empty, ambience was very clean and inviting, good music and ample parking. The 2 workers (male and female) were very friendly and helpful, even helped us bring drinks to our car. Great first experience!“
“Always has been a delicious staple in Oceanside. We haven’t been in a few years and went recently on a weekend and WOW!!! ? The quality of food has stayed delicious and what they have done to the patio seating area along with the bar just adds such an excellent atmosphere! Love this place and highly recommend their fish tacos.“
“I was looking for some really good Mexican seafood and was recommended to try Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood and I decided to share my experience with everyone.Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood has been serving the community of Oceanside some of the best seafood around for many years. They are highly underrated!Located just east of the 5 Hwy and in the shopping center on Oceanside Blvd exit, you can find this locally-owned and operated gem. It's actually family-owned and operated too and the owners are very proud of their food. The service is friendly, attentive and everything you'd love about a small business. The interior is clean and simple. Plenty of seating for couples or even bigger groups. There are a few Mexican cultural decorations and then there are televisions to watch sports if desired. There's a nice cultural playlist on rotation to set the ambiance for dining-in and their bathroom is clean.Only wish there was more Mexican interior decor to make the dining experience more immersive; but it's definitely not a dealbreaker.Their menu has everything you'd expect from an establishment that has mastered seafood and Mexican cuisine. They've got some of the tastiest fish tacos, delicious burritos, shrimp cocktails and fresh ceviche tostadas, just to name a few dishes. They've also got a nice assortment of beverages & beers to complement your meal. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot and it's hardly ever crowded, so your food orders come out quick.Overall, I highly recommend giving Sinaloa Mexican & Seafood a try if you're in the area or even if commuting on the 5 Hwy; just take the Oceanside Blvd Exit and you're there! This place is A Must!Parking: There's plenty of parking nearby in the front.“
“Phenomenal food, I have never had anything that wasn't delicious and exactly what I ordered. The variety and flavor lean heavily towards authentic dishes all while providing customer service that is very unCalifornia (I.e thoughtful, sincere, and expeditious) and and wrapped in a beautiful shop that's always clean and inviting!“
“If you are looking for big food with big flavor this place is right up your alley. There are a lot of good Mexican restraunts around here but this one is the best by far. Beware, one taco here is like ordering two. Everything is really fresh and the service is always good. They don't disappoint.“
“Staff are prompt and quite friendly. They're very knowledgable of the menu. Restaurant is very clean and has a good atmosphere.Be sure to get the birria ramen with their habañero salsa! The fried stuffed quesadilla is just perfect. Overloaded with meat! Two thumbs up! ~ 5 stars! ~ Delicious food!“
“We have been coming here for over 20 years and absolutely love it. The food is always good. The portions are large, and the staffs incredibly friendly. The restaurant is nice inside and they also are very quick with their to go pick up section.“
“This place is so good. The fish taco was amazing and the adobada militas was so so good. The horchata is really good as well, it is on the sweeter side though just so yall know! The service was great. The lady at the cash register was so nice. Food came out quick The place felt very chill. They have two picnic tables outside and about 4 tables inside.“
“My friend recommended this place to me and now it's my go to taco shop when I'm in Oceanside! You order first and then follow the line and give the taco guys your ticket and then they prepare your order. Tuesdays will be busy so prepare to wait during prime dinner hours! The meat is tender and full of flavor and their tortillas are so good, not dry like some other places. Their must get is their fruit waters!! You can also pay for an additional refill and it's less than buying another fruit water!“
“Excellent! Food 5 stars! Service 5 stars! We ordered the 6 beef taquitos to share. The guy taking our order was extremely friendly and helpful with menu items and info. The taquitos were crunchy and the meat was tender. They're topped with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and tomatoes . They also come with onions and cilantro which we left off. We also ordered a side of beans which tasted fresh and homemade.Definitely returning!“
“Biggest burritos I have ever had, and delicious.During a recent vacation to Oceanside I tried Colima’s breakfast burrito, california burrito, and fish tacos….each one was amazing and generous on toppings!!! Staff was great, location was very clean….cant wait to get back there!“
“This is the best Mexican Food Restaurant in Oceanside and throughout North County. Also the only place that offers authentic café de la olla! If you stop by for breakfast ask about the Huevos Veracruz, it's super delicious ?I always recommend this family owned restaurant to all my friends and family! ?“
“I was recommended this place from a colleague at work and it could not have turned out any better. I walked in for an early dinner around 4:30 PM and was greeted promptly by one of the staff. Being so early in the day there were only three or four other couples in the restaurant. The quiet atmosphere, and the music was perfect. As soon as you walk in there is a festive environment with many treats on display in the bakery section. My meal, Chile relleno, was exquisite. I don’t frequently have the opportunity to eat traditional Mexican food, but this place brought my desire to perfection! Thank you once again for bringing me a wonderful evening of culinary excellance. highly recommended!“
“Some good grub. Father said one of the best Chile Relleno he has had. I got a burrito combo. While looks plain had good flavor but must been smallest burrito I’ve ever had. More like an enchilada Will go again though. Offer senior discounts and daily specials.Parking: Small parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Has handicap parking in the rear with easy entry“
“I live 30 minutes from the restaurant and I never regret the drive. Besides being next to the beach, the food, the service, the people, the atmosphere, the music especially the barbacoa.Lluvia offered us the kindest service in the world, very attentive and brightest smile ever.“
“I love coming here with my out of town friends. The location truly can't be beat and it has a very fun atmosphere. I really am disappointed about the Late night happy hour disappearing but things are changing with Oceanside. The drinks were so good, and if you love a bucket it is super good. I loved my dessert too the fried ice cream was delicious.“
“I know the ratings weren't that great! However, our experience was absolutely phenomenal - as usual! The food was fresh, tasty and perfectly prepared! The restaurant (from the walk up window's view was nice & clean on the inside, the cashier was warm & welcoming! We had a great experience; therefore, whenever we're in the area, this will be a must have!“
“I am happy to see that this place is still in business. I live in New Mexico now, But, I lived in Oceanside a little over 30 years ago. I Never forgot the wonderful food & service. I Remember "Patty" & "Jose Ochoa." I hope they are doing Good today, Great memories of food & Friendship. Donna King“
“If you're looking for excellent enchiladas, their sauce is incredible! You can't beat the prices here! For a drive-through, it's a must stop in Oceanside. If you are at the train station, it is a quick few minute. Walk and worth it. We took our luggage with us and sat and enjoyed the beautiful outdoor weather on the patio. As we were leaving, I had to go back in and give my compliments to the chef.“
“Love this place. It’s my go to taco and burrito spot. The staff is friendly and fast. Almost always get the carne asada tacos. It’s not scooped up from a warming tray like other places, it comes piping hot and juicy with fresh guac and pico. Prices are reasonable and they are open late!“
“Absolutely amazing food and service. Very quick with service without sacrificing any quality! 10/10 recommend...especially for you Midwestern folks that haven't had good Mexican food. Hard shell tacos with the neighbor's ground beef doesn't count.“
“A very pleasant surprise. I've probably driven by this restaurant a few hundred times. It's near the Frazier Farms on Oceanside Blvd. Close to the car rental place. This isn't a taco shop, or a fancy restaurant. It's a family owned, nicely decorated Mexican restaurant with really good food at reasonable prices. We were met by a pleasant lady that offered to seat us. On this day we did take out. I ordered the beef chile Colorado burrito and my mom had the pork chile verde burrito. The portions were generous the beef was tender as was the pork. This is definitely on my list to return to.“
“Traditional Mexican market experience. Love the food, the ladies that work there are super helpful. I have a sensitive stomach that acts up when I eat low quality or poorly prepared food, and not once have I felt sick after eating here! Not all of the employees speak English, but that's OK! Everyone there wants to help, and is confident to ask you questions to make sure you get what you want, even if there is a language barrier. Example of this was today my back was hurting, I went in for my breakfast and to buy some Tylenol. They got it all at the register for me, and I asked her how to say "back pain" in Spanish, to which the other lady who did not speak English came over and suggested instead of Tylenol I take Flanax. I took her suggestion and feel so much better, works better than my typical Tylenol fix, and I've never heard of Flanax before. She could have sold me the Tylenol, and that would have been fine, but she went out of her way to make a suggestion from her experience, and that shows compassion that I don't expect from a stranger.10/10, they will be seeing me most-every morning while I'm working in the area.“
“I have been coming to Jose’s 1999 and they have consistently been my absolute favorite taco shop. I moved from the area up to near the Oregon border and crave their tacos. I have searched high and low for tacos that compare to no avail. Luckily, I still have family in the area and can stop in during visits. Not only is the food good but the service is good and the place is always clean.“
“We drive from San Clemente to eat the street tacos . My family loves it . They sell elotes Mexican style , bread . The best part is drinking a cold beer wile your at it .. They know how to make a real street taco with double tortilla just how you get them in Mexico. cash me outsii how bou that's!!!" We keep coming back any chance we get.. kids request this spot often so we make the drive to satisfy the buds lol“
“Never been here and I've lived up the street from them for over 15 years. Just went in to pick up a parrillada and a potato and bean burrito. My boss had the burrito and LOVED IT!--He is a VERY finicky eater. I had the parrillada and it was savory, hot and fantastic! Lady at the counter was very sweet and the food is unmatched. I'll be having the oysters next time. My only advice is that this place needs more light. It's a bit dark in there.“
“having moved away from California, we're always in search of great Mexican food when we visit. Driving to a Staples, we espyed Los Tacos. Great sign when the place is packed on a holiday at 2 pm. Had the San Diego Burrito - spicy chicken and beans with side of rice and beans and free side of chips (pay by cash). Burrito was fresh, big, and tasty, with hints of peanuts and pineapple. The salsa bar was great too- had the spicy house special, the medium tomatillo, and the pickled onions. Definitely recommend coming.“
“The service was outstanding. The juice and food is one of the best both in price and flavour. 10.50 for a carne asada burrito with angus beef? With a big agua fresca pineapple juice totaling less than 16 dollars? Yes please.Thank you for the good food and service. You are my favourite in the Oceanside area now.Keep up the good work, good food and good price.Don't forget, Jesus loves you and he shall save your soul if you repent of your sins, and believe on him. John chapter 3.“
“Delicious tamales with a light moist masa. Chicken mole and tomato feta are my families FAVORITE! Very friendly staff and efficient service. I will drive to Oceanside if I am not able to buy at the Mira Costa College farmers market on Saturday. A little pricey, but worth every penny!“
“Roberto's Tacos has been a San Diego staple for over 50 years. They set the stage for the more authentic Tijuana fast food revolution that is present throughout San Diego. The Oceanside store has the number 13 attached to it. I surmise that indicates it is their 13th store and must have been around for some time. Their food is outstanding and their price is more than fair for the quantity and quality you get. I love their Carne Asada Burrito's that comes with plenty of Carne Asada, guacamole, pico in a huge flour tortilla. This is a treat for us when we visit because in the Bay Area Mexican taco shops fill their burritos with rice and beans, gross! Another treat is their Rolled Tacos with or without guacamole. You can get beef or chicken. They are crispy and oh so good. On this visit we noticed this Roberto's had some specialty burritos that I might have to try next time. One was a Carne Asada burrito with spicy hot Cheetos and another that had 2 rolled tacos inside a Carne Asada burrito. Love it! When in San Diego take some time and visit a Roberto's Tacos. You will enjoy a fantastic inexpensive meal and instantly become a critic of Mexican food outside of San Diego. Until our next visit, I will have to suffer through the bean and rice mess that they call burritos in the Bay Area. See you soon Roberto's Tacos. Yay! I'm a fan.“
“Favorite neighborhood Mexican Food hangout for dine in or takeout. Everything has been very delicious and well sized. I weighed the burrito once at home as it was so hefty. If you are lucky they will have ceviche, the best I've ever had, as they are known for seafood as well as the other fare. California burrito is a go to for me as well as chorizo breakfast burrito. The new owners are happy to have their new name and sign up in lights over the door. I hope to try everything on the menu. Service is very friendly. Clean and well lit with big windows and at least two tv screens.“
“I find that the food is very good and consistent great tasting meals. I one main guy (owner) is outstanding great. Wow this guy is a super chef of Mexican foods. I love the stuff peppers and burritos.Kid-friendliness: Fun foods for kidsParking: Big area in parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Very curious to the handicap.“
“We happened to be at the proper intersection right next to Anita's Mexican Restaurant Cantina at 2250 South El Camino Real in Oceanside... and we were hungry so I said to my husband, "Let's try THIS Anita's!" We turned in and entered a most pleasing environment! It had a happy feel to it and an even happier feel when the sweet waitress came to the table. Her name is "Paty C" or at least that's what our receipt said. We started with the chicken tortilla soup. It was the BEST soup ever! Soon, we will be stopping by just for a carton of to-go soup. We then had the Cabo Combo seafood plate. It was also delicious!! The restaurant's environment feels relaxed and pleasant. I'm sure that added to the enjoyment of our meal. A few weeks ago, we ate at Garcia's on State Street in Carlsbad where the food was for all intents and purposes, barely edible, just plates of reheated food that was covered in cheese and sauce and you couldn't tell what was under it; compared to Anita's, I would give Garcia's a one star.“
“Let me tell you, this place is amazing! The tacos, nachos, salads, and fries are amazing. A friend of mine and I went here and fell in love. The staff is friendly, kind, and approachable. Take a look at the photos below. If you are in Oceanside, stop in!“
“I can't say much about the service or atmosphere since I did the drive through, but I got 3 breakfast burritos; carne asada, bacon and ranchero. All were good but the carne asada was amazing! They are also MASSIVE so don't be too upset with the $10.50 price tag, it's probably at least 2 and a half meals for 1 burrito!“
“We stoped in Hello Betty for a quick lunch. We ended up trying the clam chowder (excellent), the corn, and the Mahi tacos. The food was fresh cooked to perfection. Best part of lunch was our excellent server Madelin. She was very attentive, efficient, made great recommendations, and was a vey nice person! She made our lunch experience a very memorable one!“
“Very authentic, off the beaten path, with mostly real Mexican locals dining in so you know the food is good!Vegetarian options: Not too much to choose from. The beans and rice were amazing!I opted for an avocado burrito.Would be nice if they fresh mushroom to offer. Would come back just for the beans and the uncrowded location!“
“Small but cozy mom and pop shop. The owners are very attentive and courteous. I had the caldo de pollo, and it tasted absolutely homemade. Being originally from Mexico, I can appreciate good food. The place looks clean. I'll be coming back for sureNote: the place is located in the gas station building. They have their own door and also access through the gas station“
“This place has been a God send to our neighborhood. My husband and I love Mexican food but until Rancho Viejo got here there wasn't a really good taco shop we liked. Ranch Viejo never disappoints. Their food is consistently delicious. Literally could eat there breakfast, lunch and dinner! The cook really puts love in his dishes and the ladies at the counter are so friendly. It's always clean to eat in or to go is great as well, they make sure you have everything! We love it!!!“
“Delicious and fresh food. We had the mixed ceviche, chicken nachos, pork belly, birria tacos, and the chicken burrito... everyone enjoyed their food. Two servers for the amount of guests appeared a bit too tasking; we had to flag them down and exercise patience; nonetheless, we appreciate that they did their best.“
