It is a favorite Mexican food place for some, offering really awesome 5 rolled tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, and guacamole sauce for only $7, and huge and wonderful adobada tacos. The carne asada burrito is delicious, and the bean and cheese burritos are so good and solid, much better than anything else in San Diego. The carne asada and carnitas nachos are highly recommended, and the rice and beans are all cooked with lots of flavor. However, some burritos can be excessively hot or have issues with specific requests, and a California burrito was found to be pretty flavorless with unmelted cheese. The churros are delicious but oily. The place is generous and friendly, with great music always playing. It is a hole in the wall place, bordering on the grungy side, and refills are $1.75.
