The Elote was good but not the service...this girl (shown in pictures) was rude and with an attitude. It seem like she was working there forcefully. Like she was mad about something. But anywayz hopefully she's not there next time we come around.“
“This place is one of those “hole in the wall” locations thats located inside of a small market. It doesn’t look like much, but their food is delicious. I really liked their Carne Asada burrito. They pack it with lots of meat and flavor. The nachos and cali burrito were just as good.Kick it up a notch and serve yourself some salsas, especially the chipotle sauce. It’s a must. The only drawback is the long wait due to its popularity. I recommend that you call ahead.“
“Our server was kind and hardworking. Restaurant was bustling because the food is amazing: warm, crispy tortilla chips with the best salsa I have ever had. We got fundido which came with chicharrones, nice touch! My daughter's fish tacos were tender and fried to perfection. 10/10 would recommend this place!“
“We came up the hill as a last-minute decision. Reveles is the closest place to us for sit-down Mexican with a bar. Columbus Day holiday meal found us right here, right now . . . and then they started the karaoke. We sat in the dining area because of a mobility issue and happened to sit at the table that got all of the kitchen traffic. But that's ok, because we were never forgotten for any of our service, and the karaoke wasn't too annoyingly loud back there. A couple of menu items of notice. The Jalapeno poppers (first time we ordered) were not very enticing in their presentation, texture or flavor. Probably won't order those again. The Molcajete was a different story. I ordered the pork as the filling meat in the very hot stone mortar bowl filled with some great and interesting treats that surprised everyone at our table. The Molcajete served as the perfect table appetizer along with chips, salsa and guacamole. And where did they find these GIANT carrots. HUGE! Reveles' food seems to always hit the spot when needed. Perhaps it's the conversations we have only a few minutes' drive from our home. Perhaps it's because their food always seems fresh and delicious. The Molcajete and giant carrots deserve the extra star this evening. As we concluded our visit, we went to look at the bar and it was PACKED inside and outside. I guess karaoke is a thing here at Reveles, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was even a couple dancing to the groovy tunes. Dicks“
“I love Phatties. So amazing to have a long menu with so many options, all vegan. I recommend the enmoladas and carne asada tacos. Keep in mind the serving sizes are huge here. Food is great and but the dine in is a bit run down looking, but that's part of the Phatties vibe, and it fits in with the post-apocalyptic vibe of present day downtown Escondido with its numerous mostly empty dilapidated strip malls.“
“We live in fallbrook but, my daughter works in Escondido so when I picked her up we looked for a place to eat and, we found this place and we decided to go in there because I was very hungry and, let me tell you the food was great and so was the service, I will definitely go back and recommend this place, I’m giving a 5 star because they have this salsa bar and they had my favorite salsa macha yummy“

“The meat of the Adobada was .... *Chefs kiss* ? fatty, flavorful, everything you would want. The carne asada also was good. For anyone on a low carb diet, like myself, ask for half Adobada and half carne asada, no fries but with everything else. Grab some grilled onions and jalapeños and throw those on top with some radish and lime and their red and green salsas.... You will not be disappointed. A TON of food for $16 total. Worth every penny with that flavor and I was stuffed... I would've liked green onions but tbh the ones they had were fine.“
“Used to go there when it was Diegos. Juniors is on par. Been there a few times before reviewing. Needs a face-lift, but the food is good and staff is friendly. Cali burrito has potatoes instead of fries. Big plus. Carne Asada and Carnitas burritos are both great and huge. No beans or rice fillers either. Even the rolled tacos are filling.“
