I had not eaten here in maybe ten years or more. Not sure if it is the same owner or not. In my mind I had been much better than this last trip. I cannot say that it was bad at all. It is a good little spot and the people are really nice and I like that the food is not salty like most places.I would go back for sure.My friend felt the same way, good but not special.
Probably one of my favorite home town taco shops in Escondido. El Huarache honestly has some of my favorite dishes to come around. While it's not a typical 5 star restaurant requiring dress policy or anything of that sorts, it definitely gets a 5 star with my rating due to its tasty foods, fast service, and the list of variety offered here. Found this little gem on the way to Fish & Game. The food was awesome! It took a little long, but that was also noticable because we were in a hurry. It was also a little pricey ($37 for three burritos), but that's par for the course these days.
