“We were in town for vacation ordered on the phone and was told will be ready in 10 minutes. Drive to Oceanside. We were in Carlsbad, 16 minutes away. Only to be turned around because they have two locations. Called them back to confirm and food was ready but at that point I didn’t want my food food and also lost my appetite after a day at legoland. So maybe clearer address updates or something.“

“Five stars, always. I get lunch or dinner take out from Chen's Kitchen at least once a week and the service is consistently excellent — they’re friendly, welcoming, and even remember my name. The food is delicious with generous portions. Highly recommend the Singapore noodles and the beef fried rice!“

“I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was by my lunch here today. The service was impeccable. And the food..... All 3 dishes we tried were leagues above what I expected. It was fantastic. And the cream cheese won tons might be the best I've ever had. I do not say that lightly. I highly recommend“

“We had an amazing experience at Pan Pan Wok in San Diego! We walked in with a party of 10 just 30 minutes before closing, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were kind enough to prepare fresh food for our entire group, and everything tasted incredible.

The employees were extremely friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome, encouraging us to take our time and enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. It’s rare to find that level of hospitality, especially so close to closing time.

If you’re visiting San Diego and looking for delicious Chinese food with outstanding service, I highly recommend Pan Pan Wok. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Joyee's was one of our favorites so we were upset to see it gone, but with renewed hope saw the signage still there, so it looks like it's a re-brand rather than a completely different restaurant. I'm not sure if some recipes changed but I loved Joyee's spicy boiled beef and would get it at least three times a month. After the re-brand to Chef's Wok & Dumplings the flavor was much more subdued to my great disappointment. The same can be said for the cumin beef, the flavor was a lot milder that what I was accustomed to from this location.

The dan dan noodles and spicy wontons seem to remain the same so that is good! For the positive changes, the spicy crispy chicken was improved from what I remember and the meat on the cumin beef was much more tender.

I do miss the bolder flavors though, so I do wish in the future we can choose how spicy to make the food to accomodate since not everyone likes more bland americanized chinese food and the authenticity is what kept us coming back to Joyee's.“

“I absolutely love this little place.Great quick food and service. They have lunch specials which are approximately $10.55 They come with egg drop soup, fried or white rice, and lo mein noodles. Their Szechuan chicken is definitely delicious and loaded with fresh veggies . Go give this place a try .You won't be disappointed 😋

“This is the place! If you're looking for takeout this place is very generous with their portions and their meat doesn't suck like a lot of other places. Love the rice noodles and the mushroom chicken. YUM!! I highly recommend and I'll definitely be back!“

“I tried to leave a survey on the panda survey but it didn’t let me highlight Anita the cashier at the time, she had great customer service and helped accommodate us, and was super nice about recommending additional items. I don’t frequrnet this location often but I will be back the staff from front to back was great!“

“Love this place! Great prices and SO yummy! We can order and it is still hot over 20 miles away. Our favs are the kung pao beef and special chicken! But everything we have had is so good. Small indie sitting area but a nice area outside as well!“

“Very good combo plate. Rice is fluffy and perfectly cooked. Chow mein is excellent. Broccoli beef is the best I’ve had and the orange chicken tastes amazing , like real oranges , with perfect amount of crunch. Wide selection of canned beverages. Family owned restaurant with very friendly people. Reasonable priced and large portions. I also like they can make fresh chow mein when requested.“

“The food is the usual but it is good. The staff are patient. I normally get by usual teriyaki chicken with fried rice meal. The 4 stars is because they took away the passion tea and other iced tea option for a beverage for just the fountain drink. I get it, it is cost effective but it was a great addition to a meal.“

He took a 2 minute mundane interaction and turned it into a reason to smile for the day, it’s very rare for people to do that nowadays and it was very appreciated. Fast service, consistent quality food, and reasonable prices for the serving size.“
