“I'm a big fan of Korean fried chicken and this place gets the chicken cooked perfectly. Deliciously crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The regular fried (not sauced) has a great flavor, very subtle marinade going on. The hot spicy sauce had a great flavor too, although it was a little more five spice than my wife likes and it could have been much hotter for my taste. We only tried wings, but will give the breast/leg meat a try next time.“

“I have to knock a star off because they don't have any plant milk options, only that "non-dairy creamer" which has milk proteins in it. They do have a "fresh tea" drink selection so I ordered a rose oolong tea with boba, 70% sweet. It was really good! The tea flavor was strong but properly brewed with no bitterness, and the rose was deliciously aromatic but not overwhelming. Boba were cooked perfectly. It's a shame they have no plant milk options because that eliminates most of the menu for people with milk sensitivity/allergy (and vegans). But it's so great to find a tea place that actually brews good tea. Would do again next time I'm in this area of the country.“
“Randomly stumbled upon this spot when picking up some dinner, and I am very glad I did! This place is pretty hidden away in a shopping center, and I believe you have to park a bit far away from it, but I can be wrong. They have a bunch of flavors to choose from which is super cool and there is a lot of seating which is perfect if you are going with a big group. The people running the shop were very sweet and helped accommodate my drink since I don't drink whole milk. I tried the Coconut Ice Blend with Almond Milk and Boba, and it was very yummy. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and I love the creamy coconut flavor. I can't wait to go back and try more drinks!“
“It's an unassuming shop that has a good variety of banh mis (sandwhiches) among other typical Vietnamese Deli selections. The sandwhiches were pretty good and fairly priced. They definitely hit the spot when you've got that craving! The staff is very friendly, if a little bit sparse. They do work quickly to get yoru order prepared. I liked their selection of banh mis, they've got the classics and few others for the uninitiated. The bread was great, crunchy exterior and soft on the inside. The shop isn't much, but if you're there for a quick bite it's not that much of a factor - cause all you want is that banh mi flavor! Would return to grab another bite!“
“My husband had a company party and I called the night before if there was an option to do catering for 8 people. One of the employees there answered and did her best to answer everything. I ended up getting in touch with the manager (Joyce) and she was extremely helpful. She made sure everything went smoothly. My husband's party was going to be in Encinitas but we live in Santee so Joyce said she could have everything ready in Del Mar where they have another restaurant called Xin Chao Eatery. It was super nice for them to accommodate for us and make things easier so we wouldn't have to stress about the company party. Thank you so much Joyce and Justin for being the best!! “This is one of my favorite frozen yogurt and boba milk teas place. They change the flavors of the frozen yogurt often. My best favorite is Taro. Their bobas milk teas are delicious. They have a wide variety. My favorites are taro and brown sugar oolong with almond milk and bobas.“

“The fries are so delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of them but the bulgogi fries, Hawaiian chicken chipotle, and the poke fries are to die for! The fries are nice and crispy and hold up really well through the sauce, which they don’t skimp out on! Build your own boba is so easy and they have a great amount of teas, slushes, and toppings. The staff is hands down the best part! They’re always super friendly and helpful! Can’t rave enough about this place!“

“We recently had our wedding and instead of an alcohol bar chose to have a boba bar. We initially shopped around for different stores who could accommodate larger catering orders, and we found SD Boba Tea. We got in touch with Brandy, who was able to arrange a tasting for us where we easily went through dozens of iterations of different flavors and sweetness levels to find exactly what we wanted. We ultimately chose 4 flavors: royal black milk tea, jasmine milk tea, plum oolong tea, and peach green tea. Once we had flavors decided, Brandy was super helpful with making recommendations for volume, timing, etc. She and Jaden showed up early on the day-of to set up (including some of their own decorations, which was awesome!) and were ready to go on time. They both served drinks to our guests (rather than self-serve, which gets messy), and our guests loved them so much that they drank us dry in no time. All the feedback we got was positive, and related to the tastiness of the drinks as well as the high quality service. One note would be that because the store is often really busy, sometimes email communication is a bit slow; this wasn't a problem for us since we had made plans very far in advance, and Brandy always replied after a quick follow up from our end. We'll be visiting again soon for casual boba, and would definitely recommend SD Boba Tea to anyone else planning a large event!“

“I've been to this Kung Fu tea many times but got something different today. I tried the mango slush with 30% sweetness and mango jelly. It wasn't too sweet but the ice wasn't as blended as I wanted it to be. The drink also took awhile because there were several orders and only 1 bobarista making drinks. Although we had to wait a bit for drinks I would still come back for the convenience of living nearby and the variety of flavors offered. I think I'll go with a milk tea or fruited tea next time I visit.“
“This has become one of my regular spots since moving to the area. Often, you have to choose between good food and good boba, but here you get both! I got a latte with boba and was surprised how good the coffee tasted. Highly recommend the chicken and the cream cheese wontons.
