“My Husband and I had the most amazing experience at Prime Cut Steakhouse. We were there to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. First we were welcomed by Allen who I assume runs the restaurant, as he ensured we had to most amazing VIP experience from beginning to end. Jenna oh Jenna! She provided the most exceptional customer service as she waited on us the entire time. She was patient when we were undecided, and gave us time to really review the menu before making a final selection. Jenna made sure all our questions about the menu were answered, she never made us feel rushed, and gave her honest opinion on what her best recommendations were. We got the best presentation from Chef Greg Coyle where he came out and presented a quality Tomahawk... the fire presentation was fantastic! Jenna brought out a beautiful presentation of desserts selections. She really made us feel like we were the only individuals in the room... again never once did we feel rushed! Jenna you're the best! Chef I wish I could have you cook for us daily & Allen, thank you! Everyone's attention to detail and reassurance really made our anniversary night much more special.

Lastly, the ambiance was perfect, the fresh sent as you enter the restaurant set a relaxing mood. The lighting was perfect and the live music was beautiful. The corner both seating was very comfortable and allowed us to get a full view of the restaurant's scenery. We will be back!“

“As a Mexican, I’m very particular about my mariscos, and out of the three Mariscos trucks in El Cajon, this one is by far the best. I love their aguachiles, and their fairly priced fish tacos are bomb. Authentic as it gets, to be honest!!“

This place was amazing. Period.

The fish tacos and shrimp tacos were absolute studs. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, loaded with flavor, and zero filler. Just straight up legit tacos. And the value? Wild. You leave full, happy, and wondering how it didn’t cost twice as much.

The shrimp ceviche tostada was a knockout. Bright, citrusy, piled high, and dangerously easy to demolish. “We’ll share it,” we said. Sure we did.

And big shout out to Juan, our server, who was phenomenal. Friendly, attentive, on top of everything without hovering. The kind of service that makes the whole experience even better.

Guanatos 2 is authentic, affordable, and flat out delicious. No gimmicks. Just great food and great people. We’ll absolutely be back.“

I struggle with Mexican food shops because the quality of the meat (carne asada) is gross most times but not here food is consistent, fresh, and quality ingredients and I appreciate when food business places use fresh quality ingredient.“

They had a DJ that had really good music and then they had karaoke but it was so loud you couldn't talk to the person across from you. Every time we needed something from the waitress we had to wave her down to come to the table. She was very nice but service was not so good.“

We already loved their food but we ended up not getting the tacos we bought for taco Tuesday made correctly... I ended up on the phone with Miguel who immediately offered to remake them as I explained my son's allergies with tomatoes.. I let him know we had taken an Uber down to them so it would have to be later.. he offered to bring them to us.. that was beyond kind of him and by far surpasses any other customer service I have ever received.. “Usually love this place. $17+ for a hefty poke bowl that's usually made with good vibes. However! Be warned. Ken is not the one you want. Could barely hear him, could hear his sighs though. Went there on 3/22 and he made the saddest bowl ever. Barely any protein, sauce, or toppings. Was so disappointing. Will go again but avoid him, lol. “We have eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed. This time around we ordered 81. General Tao's Chicken, 37. Assorted Wonton Soup, and the 21. Egg Roll (4). My wife was feeling under the weather and the soup brightened her mood. She said it was exactly what she needed. The egg rolls were crisp and fresh. General Tao's Chicken was absolutely delicious. There are chilies in the dish. So, be aware if you are spice averse.

I highly recommend eating in person as well. It's a very nice restaurant and a great place to go for a midweek meal as well as special occasions.

“This restaurant felt like you were sitting down for dinner at a friend’s Abuela’s house warm, welcoming, and full of amazing homemade flavor. The Molcajete Special was absolutely incredible, packed with flavor and more than enough food to leave you full and happy. The red enchilada sauce had the perfect savory flavor with just a hint of sweetness that made it unforgettable.

Javy was one of the most pleasant servers we’ve had in a long time and took such great care of us throughout the meal. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you’re looking for authentic food and a welcoming atmosphere!“

“First time here. I came in tonight because I was referred here by a customer of mine. He said they have the best salsas. We tried a fish taco which was on special today for $2. Definitely worth it was not skimpy and taste great.
We also ordered 3 roller tacos and a carne asada burrito. Rolled tacos were good but the carne asada burrito was AMAZING. Best I’ve had in a really long time. I will definitely be back specifically for that. So flavorful and juicy. The girl that took my order was very nice also. All do that for $24 which was not bad at all.“

“Went in on a Thursday afternoon around 6:30, met up with another couple there and their 6 year old son. It was rather empty. Only 3 tables were occupied.
