“Jamul is a little outside of my service area as a plumber, but I found myself there helping a friend with his home. On the drive home, I was hungry and thrilled to discover a Filippis Pizza on Campo Rd. I love their cheese pizza and had to stop in for a late lunch. It’s a nice place, similar to the Escondido location near me, with the Chianti bottles hanging throughout the dining room room. The staff was friendly and Amanda seated me right away and took good care of me. The cheese pizza was delicious like always. Knowing that Filippis here in Jamul, I think I will be more willing to schedule appointments out here😁“

“The epitome of a 5 star experience. Just upon entry, the host was warm, smiled and opened the door with a no judgement energy when I asked about dress policy. I chose to sit at the bar and was instantly greeted by Scotty the bartender. His hospitality was sincere, genuine, & knowledgeable. I’ve been to this hotel about 10 times and this experience at Prime made every visit worth it. All of his recommendations were on point. The hamachi crudo had a perfect texture and balance of citrus and sweetness. I chose the sea bass and Scotty recommended mashed potatoes as a side and upon the first bite it was like butter melted in my mouth. Amazing!!! The conversations between himself, myself, management, & bar patrons reflected what it truly meant to have a nice, not too serious, yet a touch of “I love what I do” type of evening. Also, I had the GBC martini and holy crap! Amazing! I would give this place a 11/10 and will gladly be back! Thanks Scotty and the Prime team. Truly left with a smile on my face, every bite,sip, and smile made me so happy!

“I needed a big breakfast after spending 2 days at nearby camp Cuyamaca and I made a good choice to try Janet's. Very busy on a Sunday morning, but they seated me right away to a small table with both a coffee and a water. I ordered a full stack of pancakes, eggs and bacon. Food was served very quickly and the Pancakes were huge. Scrambled eggs were nice and dry and the bacon was great. Pancakes were fluffy and tasty, Trust me on the size of the pancakes and just order a single unless your 2 hungry lumberjacks. Biggest pancakes I ever saw. Service was great. prices were very reasonable. Place was packed with locals. So glad I picked Janet's. My only mistake was trying to finish just 2 of my 3 pancakes. Did i mention they were massive. I left full and happy. Can't wait to go back for just one giant pancake. Thanks for the great breakfast.“

“T&A Adventures is @ The Hills Local Pub in La Mesa California having THE BEST BURGER of our adventures so far! I mean WOW! Juicy deliciousness! Garlic Parm Burger - Half Pound patty, candied jalapeño bacon, swiss, garlic aioli, arugula, tomato, brioche bun, parmesean crisp - Served w Fries. Absolute 🔥! Our Server "Jordan" was awesome too.“

Love the brisket and tri-tip, and the cornbread is always great! If you want good BBQ in east county this is our favorite!! “the pho mai was really great, came with a lot of meat and toppings. the flavor was awesome and the noodles were very bouncy.
the rare meat pho was also really good, and extra noodles were only $2.
the bbq rice plate had a variety of meats, but i think it would taste better with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. the spring rolls had a great texture but didn’t have a lot of meat.
the service overall was good and the server was super attentive. you can also get a free drink by leaving a review!“

“Been coming here since I was a kid vs Saritas. Saritas is good, sure but these guys cook like they like you personally and want you to enjoy your meal 🤣. I just know when I order my foods gonna be so delicious like, granted I usually order California burrito or fries/ nachos. And rolled tacos. I would just ask y'all to add some garlic and a bit more salt to the guacamole. Also I've ordered a breakfast burrito, they're loaded up with protein and soo good.“
