“Placed an order for pickup, showed up at the pickup time and there were like 20 people standing around upset. The girl at the counter didn't say hi, wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. After 10 minutes of standing around I left. Eventually, my girlfriend went in and got our order (like 40 minutes after the pickup time). Food was great as always, service was garbage. I won't be returning to this location“

“My Husband and I had the most amazing experience at Prime Cut Steakhouse. We were there to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. First we were welcomed by Allen who I assume runs the restaurant, as he ensured we had to most amazing VIP experience from beginning to end. Jenna oh Jenna! She provided the most exceptional customer service as she waited on us the entire time. She was patient when we were undecided, and gave us time to really review the menu before making a final selection. Jenna made sure all our questions about the menu were answered, she never made us feel rushed, and gave her honest opinion on what her best recommendations were. We got the best presentation from Chef Greg Coyle where he came out and presented a quality Tomahawk... the fire presentation was fantastic! Jenna brought out a beautiful presentation of desserts selections. She really made us feel like we were the only individuals in the room... again never once did we feel rushed! Jenna you're the best! Chef I wish I could have you cook for us daily & Allen, thank you! Everyone's attention to detail and reassurance really made our anniversary night much more special.

Lastly, the ambiance was perfect, the fresh sent as you enter the restaurant set a relaxing mood. The lighting was perfect and the live music was beautiful. The corner both seating was very comfortable and allowed us to get a full view of the restaurant's scenery. We will be back!“

“This is my first bbq experience in California and it ain't bad at all. I usually order to-go, service was FAST! For a bbq spot to get you your order in under 10 mins that's saying something so kudos for that. The food, I got the Rib combo with the brisket along with the MacNCheese with the seasoned fries. The brisket was great, ribs were good but I liked the brisket more. The amount of MacN Cheese given is outstanding! There's more things on the menu I would like to try so I will be back for sure“

“So today my family wanted pick up stix and I didn't want to get pickup stix due to the odd interaction I had last time I went in. I have been going to this location for years and have never had any issue besides the last visit. There is a cashier that is an older gentleman who refuses to give extra sauce and will literally go back and forth over a couple sauce packets. I am buying for 3 people and the 2 siracha that he said is already in the bag is not enough. I decided oh well it probably will not be a thing today, but unfortunately the same guy today did it again. I asked him what the issue was and he stated that the sauce is in the bag already. I asked do I need to pay for extra sauce and if so I will, he stated no I don't need to then finally agreed to give me sauce. I have never ran into this situation ever at any restraunt where when I am paying for the meal I have to argue and ask several times for a couple extra packets of sauce. It's wild and unprofessional to think you need to argue with a customer over 4 siracha packets.“

“My wife and I eat here easily once a week. We celebrated NYE dinner around 6:30, and it was pretty busy. The owner and two other employees were quick and made sure everyone was seated, order was taken, and had what they needed at all times. Food took a little longer, as expected, but they were kind enough to bring out a complimentary order of wings that we got to try for the first time! Incredibly delicious, I was only able to take a picture after not before lol. We will be ordering them from now on as an appetizer! If you try any new pho restaurants in San Diego this year, make sure this location is at the top of your list!! Our go to orders are as follows: Signature pho, beef rib pho, shaking beef, Thai iced tea, Vietnamese coffee, watermelon smoothie, matcha latte, and now the wings. Huge thank you to the staff and ownership for such an amazing restaurant. We can’t wait for more meals this new year :)“

“1st time trying this restaurant. It was highly recommended by my son and daughter in law and it did not dissappear. I ordered the Tampequena plate and it was a unique and well presented plate. The steak was tender and perfectly prepared and the enchilada and potatoes complemented the entire plate. Loved the atmosphere and the pitcher of margs was natural tasting.“

“I come to San Diego often to visit my family, and during one visit I was craving Thai food so we looked up a place nearby and this restaurant came up. Luck was on our side because this turned out to be such a great meal! When my family and I came in we needed a table to seat 6 people and they quickly got a table together for us. I ordered the red curry with vegetables and this place truly lived up to its name! The ingredients tasted fresh and the curry was so delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. As we ate and talked we saw a lot of people come in to pick up take out orders, no one else came to dine in. There are a few tables though and I suggest dining in at least once a - we were able to meet the chef/owner and he was such a nice guy. Really seemed to care about each plate that came out. I can’t wait to visit my family again and enjoy some good food and conversation here!“

“I would have given a 5 star on the food, but since the water or soda that is served has ice in it, you get a 4. Putting a filtration system on the city water supply is a must in a city that has hard water like Santee has. The water and ice from the water taste nasty !!! When you put the ice from a non filtered water supply, the soda and ice tea then will carry that nasty flavor into the drink. I drank my wine without chilling it with ice, so that I could enjoy the flavor of my wine.“

(I believe the owners?) we're an absolute delight. They cracked jokes with us, gave us recommendations, showed us a way to mix the sauces we hadn't already done. It was genuinely a great time and we will all be back.“

“This place gets pretty busy on weekends! The parking lot may be full but you can still park along the street. It’s pretty large so there’s usually seats. I love the borracho fries, so good! Also the pulled pork and the cheeseburger are tasty too. The service is good as well. My one complaint is they run out of their popular items by 2pm, tri tip and hot links get sold out really fast. I know they can only bbq so much but maybe add some more of the popular meats?“
