“I've been coming here for years, and I have to say IT'S ALWAYS a wonderful time and atmosphere. The food is always on point with generous portions! They have 2 other locations, 1 in El cajon off of Greenfield and the other in Santee. If you haven't tried Janet's in Alpine, I highly recommend it or the Santee location. Both have a great feel to them, great food, and are spacious.“

“Best of both worlds, Chinese food and sushi. They make everything fresh and tasty. Recommend 100%. Their service is great and make you feel welcome. They also have boba bar and their drinks are good. Great family place or just for a night out too.“

“Never thought I'd be driving out to Alpine for a Mexican food fix but here we are. And am I glad we did. Serving size is hefty AND the prices are affordable. Great bang for your buck. They have a self serve tortilla chip, salsa, and condiments station. Their tacos and burritos are all solid.“

“Al Pancho's has been my favorite Mexican restaurant since we moved to Alpine. This a cute little place, plenty of seating inside and has an outdoor dining patio. The staff is very friendly and professional and the food is super yummy. They have been in business since we moved to Alpine in 2003 and I'm sure it was here long before us. It feels like a family run restaurant complete with the great service and tasty offerings only a labor of love a family could provide. So, if you're looking to dine at one of many Mexican restaurants we enjoy here in Alpine, this one tops my list, hands down! Our others in the same category are all excellent but this one is MY favorite“

“My Bae surprised me with dinner at Grove Restaurant for my Birthday on April 7th. The decor is very modern with clean lines and beautiful textures. The food and service were topnotch! We had a couple of appetizers with the braised short ribs and grilled Bison Ribeye entrees. Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned! Our waiter JoJo was Awesome! If you are looking for an alternative to Fleming's or Morton's, Grove Steakhouse at Viejas is a smart choice. $$$$“

“We drove in from Arizona and needed a relaxed lovely environment to enjoy some dinner and unwind before heading home to San Diego.We chose to sit and enjoy the semi outside patio. We could see the beautiful rain coming down outside and we were warm and cozy as the ceiling heaters were at a perfect temperature. The most beautiful Italian music played quietly in the background. The appetizers were hot and delicious. The main meal hit the gastro spot perfectly! This is a lovely restaurant!“

“Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon after playing in the snow in the Lagunas, and what a hidden gem! I hesitate to rave about them bc I'd rather not wait an hour for food once the crowds arrive (LOL) but rave, I must! “I would give 5 stars but I've only been here once. The service was great. The food was great. I even took some home to Yuma where I live. That's right I drove all the way from Yuma to try it out. I used to live in Santee and went to that Marieta's every week for 20 years. There is nothing that good in Yuma and I was really craving their food. They did not disappoint“

“The outside garden area is beautiful but the inside of the shop is a little outdated. The food was great, we tried their signature burrito, california fries, tacos and an orchata drink. Everything was really tasty, and made to order. The orchata was in a mixer machine and tasted home made.“

“Helpful staff and great tasting food. Don't worry about the fact that it is in a gas station, this place makes really good tasting Mexican food. My kids love their bean and cheese burritos and French fries. I'm a big fan of their carne asada burrito and their carne asada fries. My only complaint about the burrito is that the cheese is rarely melted when you ask them to add cheese. My wife really enjoyed their shrimp quesadilla. Don't go into this place expecting anything fancy as far as ambiance, but as a kid, we always found the best food at the dive shops, so enjoy.“
