“The building is inviting and the staff are friendly and attentive. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The parking lot gets full on Sunday. The restrooms were well kept.As for the food itself, it seemed made with fresh ingredients, but the taste was a bit lacking, at least in the eggs. I ordered the Asparagus Scramble (Sunday special). While I really appreciate the mix of fresh veggies, it tasted a bit bland. Adding some spiciness would go a long way towards improvement.Someone in my party ordered the machaca burrito; it was mostly filler potato with a bit of shredded beef. The pancakes and the biscuits are huge. We ordered a half-serving of biscuits and gravy, and it was still enormous. They didn't scrimp on the hash browns and home fries portions.“
“Boars head deli meats and super fine eats! It was refreshing, a lovely way to spend an afternoon. They have indoor and outdoor eating, the breeze was nice. Our order was made perfectly, everything was fresh, and our servers were so sweet and helpful. We will absolutely be going back.Pictured are the Italian and the Chicken Pot Pie bread soup bowl“
“Friendly service and delicious treats. I was the first customer on Thanksgiving and was just hoping to get a cup of coffee and a pastry for the drive. I was greeted with such a warm welcome and everything looked so good, I left with a whole box of goodies. They were a hit at Thanksgiving and I will definitely be back!“
“Stopped by today for the first time I think this is going to be my go to coffee spot moving forward. Ordered a caramel macchiato it was soo delicious the best I've had yet and their pastry was so good my kids were all fighting me over it. Customer service was on point the 2 ladies working today were nice and sweet and engaging which is hard to find now a days.“
“We drove in from Arizona and needed a relaxed lovely environment to enjoy some dinner and unwind before heading home to San Diego. We chose to sit and enjoy the semi outside patio. We could see the beautiful rain coming down outside and we were warm and cozy as the ceiling heaters were at a perfect temperature. The most beautiful Italian music played quietly in the background. The appetizers were hot and delicious. The main meal hit the gastro spot perfectly! This is a lovely restaurant!“
“Went to see my friends band play. The bar was nice. Good outdoor seating. They did run out of propane for the heaters but it wasn't too cold. The food was ok. We had the wings, jalapeño poppers, and a burger. The waitress asked how we wanted it cooked. Asked for medium but came out like a normal well done burger. Again, wasn't bad. But nothing special. The waitress was nice and friendly.“
“It’s been a few years since we’ve been to California and we were bummed to see Alpine Brewing was no longer open. We really enjoyed going here before dropping into San Diego. We looked up breweries in the area and Mike Hess Brewing popped up. We decided to stop by and to our surprise, Mike Hess is occupying the same space that Alpine Brewery once was. So glad we stopped by on our way back to Tucson! Great beer, staff and food!“
“The outside garden area is beautiful but the inside of the shop is a little outdated. The food was great, we tried their signature burrito, california fries, tacos and an orchata drink. Everything was really tasty, and made to order. The orchata was in a mixer machine and tasted home made.“
“Tracy our server was a joy! There were some issues with food orders but her sweetness made up for it. Additionally, dessert ordered was the butterscotch pudding dessert, but when we tasted it was full of espresso. Tracy took it back and brought us a new one. Apparently the cook thought espresso should be added. Bottom line, Tracy was a dear and we made sure we mentioned it to Anthony, one of the managers.“
“OMG! The flavors! Outstanding!! Every bite I can't decide which to eat again next. Probably the BEST BBQ I've ever had. I so wish I lived closer. Mmmm Oh...the BQQ sauce served was delicious and I ate plenty. But I finally took a bite of the ribs sans sauce and they were amazing alone. Almost forgot to mention the all you can eat fish on Friday...today. My husband ate his fill! Would have had a fourth platter if allowed. He loved the Cole slaw & baked beans.“
