“My husband stumbled upon this place on the way to his dentist. and he liked the sign. It is now our weekend spot for (literally) tacos & tequila (and a beer for my hubs.) “El Viejon Seafood in the Convoy area, and it was such a great experience! Even though we showed up about 20 minutes before closing, the staff was incredibly welcoming and didn’t rush us at all. The guy at the counter was especially friendly, he took the time to answer our questions and gave some awesome recommendations.

We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was on point. The tuna tostada was super fresh topped with fried onions and avocado such a delicious combo. The coqueta tostada was a standout too, with both cooked and raw shrimp plus octopus… seriously an explosion of flavor. The kids loved their fish and chips, which were perfectly seasoned, and the birria tacos were absolutely to die for, the consommé tied it all together perfectly.

Everything came out fresh and hot, and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The only downside at this location is the limited seating, it might be tricky for larger groups. But overall, we’ll definitely be coming back!“

“Owner is a super nice guy, place really gives off a local casual dining feeling.

Real standout is the fried oysters, nicely fried and the side sauce is a hit. Hush puppies are nice too. Fish and chips are alright, crinkle cut fries not my favorite and it's a simple fried light batter fish, but definitely not bad for the price. Fried scallops are ok.“

“I've had seafood boils before, but this meal really stood out. Everything was cooked perfectly, from the juicy lobster to the shrimp, clams, sausage, corn, and potatoes. The garlic butter seasoning had the perfect balance of flavor with just the right amount of spice, making every bite better than the last. The food arrived hot and fresh, the service was friendly and attentive, and the fun, laid back atmosphere made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're a seafood lover, The Boiling Crab is absolutely worth the visit. I'll definitely be back for another seafood feast! 😋 🦞“

“The shrimp fried rice and green beans had good quality and quantity.

The ox throat appetizer was mid. Tasted lots of cumin but seemed to need some salt.

The cumin beef noodles was tasty, but I felt like it could've used more beef.

I would come back tho if craving authentic, quick and no frills Chinese food and flavors.“

“I've only ordered takeout/delivery from this location since it is always a large line when busy. And parking is very scarce in this lot, for all of the businesses that are located here. Generally I've received their amazing compartmeted takeout containers with their delicious goods. A couple of times over the years I seemed to get some backup supplies for packaging, probably because there was a non-stop flow of curry leaving the place.

But the flavor is unmatched. I had been craving the delicious Curry House since I moved back to SD from O'ahu over a decade ago. There were multiple Curry House locations available to fill the void at any meal, and multiple competitors that offered similar fare. Then around covid this gem popped up.

I haven't found any business, anywhere, that can nail the Curry House style meal as consistently as they can for decades now. Oh yeah I also notice their ads on Padres games behind batters, doin alright here in SD.“

“We’ve been so happy with each dinning experience we’ve had at Tsunami! The service is excellent and their food extraordinary! The sushi is fresh and they have their own unique creations as well as the classics. Their tempura is a delight and the prawns are crazy good! If you’re a sushi fan, this is a must go!!!“

Initially went to Cava but the wait was horrendous, so we quickly left and came here. No line. No wait. We were immediately greeted with a big smile by a young gentleman at the front.
I had a poke bowl and my bf ordered the salmon plate with a side of brussel sprouts. Everything was full of flavor and healthy I was very satisfied. This is going to be my new favorite spot.“

“My family always comes here any time we are in San diego. Its easily the best Nepalese food I've ever had and it's consistently good every single time I'm here. I usually get the buttered chicken or the lamb curry which are always amazing, but I'm sure that anything off the menu is good. The service is good, the workers are kind, the place is clean and it has a nice atmosphere as well. And most importantly the cheese naan is a must.“

“The Cajun swai tacos are better than I expected for a fast food restaurant. Plus that you can substitute with flour tortilla. I like all the salsa and toppings on the fish taco.

We also tried the everything protein bowl but that was lackluster as every piece of protein in it was overcooked and dry.

“We've been coming here for more than 20 years. It is a test innovative kitchen of Rubio's. Food is good and fresh. The manager and employees are so nice and accommodating. Especially the 2 female employees. The Manager here is very friendly and knows how to socialize well. The food is always good 👍 and I liked my points that I use all the time for a discount“

“This restaurant felt like you were sitting down for dinner at a friend’s Abuela’s house warm, welcoming, and full of amazing homemade flavor. The Molcajete Special was absolutely incredible, packed with flavor and more than enough food to leave you full and happy. The red enchilada sauce had the perfect savory flavor with just a hint of sweetness that made it unforgettable.

Javy was one of the most pleasant servers we’ve had in a long time and took such great care of us throughout the meal. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you’re looking for authentic food and a welcoming atmosphere!“
