“It’s our annual place to be every August for the last 17 years: celebrating 50 years of marriage! The food, service and atmosphere right on the beach is heavenly. Our bartender Steve congratulated us and we talked for a short time. Everyone is so friendly, can’t beat the quality of their meals ! We drive out from Phoenix to have their specialty. “An absolutely amazing dining experience! Went at high tide (not King Tide) but still special having the waves come up to our window! It was our 21st wedding anniversary and they did everything to make it special. Special table right on the window with waves up to our window. Custom personalized menu and glass of champagne to toast. Stefano was so classy and treated us like royalty. No rush at all and excellent service all night. There were a few mistakes made like timing and steak a little undercooked but they were so apologetic and went way above and beyond service to correct and make things right (way more than necessary) The lobster bisque was probably best ever and our Poached Butter lobster and Waygu Ribeye were spectacular. Everything was fantastic and how they took care of us over very minor mistakes, was stellar! We will be back for other special occasions and highly recommend for special dining experience.“

The manager Neo always takes great care of us. Ashley is always really super sweet here too.

I had fish and chips (3pcs). Excellent!. Crispy breading, crispy fries, and the fish was flaky and tender. 3 pieces was a lot of fish. I've paid 50% more at fancy restaurants for fair fish and chips.
My wife had ahi bowl. Lightly seared, nicely seasoned on a bed of salad. She ate all of it, about 5 oz.
Nice relaxed, casual atmosphere.“

We ordered two EPIC hot lobster rolls (Connecticut style, warm with butter) and although they were delicious, for the EPIC PRICE OF $39 PER ROLL, it was very skimpy compared to what you get for that price in New England. They stack it high in the middle and don’t fill the bun to the ends to make it look super full. It’s not. The New England clam chowder was great though.“

“I had a great experience at Ember & Rye. Their SD Restaurant Week menu was delicious. Kudos to the new executive chef there. Service was phenomenal. We were seated by Gina, who was lovely to my parents and myself. Daniel was our waiter and also did a fantastic job. He was always there when we needed him, and never there when we didn't. Great sense from him. I finished my steak frites before Daniel came back to check on us, and they actually gave me a medium rare (I tend to like it on the rarer side). All around very happy.“

“South of Nick's, located in One Paseo, is a great restaurant with a great selection of Mexican cuisine. The delicious, not-overly-salty tortilla chips are served with beans and mild and hot salsas. I highly recommend ordering the fresh guacamole for the table to share; it's a great complement to the chips. It was difficult to choose an entree, but I went with the El Vaquero. The steak was cooked perfectly, with the enchilada being the best I've had in San Diego. It also came with filet taquitos, guac, and refried beans, all of which were wonderful. I highly recommend South of Nick's for your next dinner out, regardless of your party size.“

“Quick, quality, and friendly sushi!!! Ordered online and got the Vermont roll and Delsushi special roll. Both were really great quality and contrasted each other nicely. The Vermont roll was so good, we loved the ratio of rice to fish. Very flavorful and light. The delsushi roll was definitely heavier, baked, and loaded!!!!“
