South of Nick's, located in One Paseo, is a great restaurant with a great selection of Mexican cuisine. The delicious, not-overly-salty tortilla chips are served with beans and mild and hot salsas. I highly recommend ordering the fresh guacamole for the table to share; it's a great complement to the chips. It was difficult to choose an entree, but I went with the El Vaquero. I had the best experience at South of Nick's Del Mar. The food was amazing, the food came promptly, and the service each time I went was superb. I have never been so attended to at other restaurants. Highly recommend the El Jefe burrito!
