North Italia is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in San Diego. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the outdoor seating is especially nice in the evening. The food has always been fresh and flavorful, and the cocktails are well made. Everything feels consistent, from the service to the quality of the dishes. A great place for dinner with friends or a date night.
We’ve always enjoyed North Italia and eat there frequently back home in Texas, so we were excited to visit this location. The food was good overall, but unfortunately both of our experiences had an issue with one dish. At dinner, our appetizer wasn’t prepared correctly, and when we picked up sandwiches for lunch one item wasn’t made as ordered. That was more frustrating as we didn’t have time to correct it.

The atmosphere was incredible, and the food was absolutely amazing. To top it all off, the service was wonderful. One of our items came out a few minutes late, so they completely removed it from our bill without us even asking. The manager even checked in on us to make sure everything else was perfect. Our server was a rely wonderful young man. Pizza and Scampi was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
