“This place is the best! We’re from Colorado and we found this place three years ago when we were visiting. We’ve dreamt about their fish and shrimp tacos ever since, so we make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in San Diego. This last trip was no different. We even went twice this year because they recommended their garlic and butter fish and shrimp tacos and they’re to die for (along with everything else we’ve had). While they do have outdoor seating available, we ate in our car because we had our pup with us. When we went back, they even said they remembered us. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, the place is clean and the food is tasteful. We just wish they would bring their truck to Denver so we could have them more often!“

“One of the best Mariscos food trucks I've been to. Quality is top-notch. You'll have to wait a little, but it's worth it for fresh quality food. Shrimp tacos with Consome always hit the spot. It's a little hidden, but it's definitely worth it if you're in the area.

“We loved our mother daughter lunch! The Henry is very clean and has a welcoming ambience. I got the club and it was the beast club l have ever had. Lots of meat and lettuce it was delich! My daughter got the Kale and squash salad. She ate every last bit and also loved her food. Our server was super sweet l wish l remember her name but she was young and blond with these great black pointy nails. Perfect for spooky season. She was attentive and prompt. We had a great time and will definitely be going back.“

“I can say Kabobs were OK. We ordered beef koobideh and joojeh kabob and Ash. I give an score at most 4/5 to kabobs but Ash was great and I would say it’s 5/5. It was our first time going for a food truck only because of the high score. I know it’s hard to make a high quality kabob in a truck, but honestly it wasn’t 5. Seeing the score of 5 in google and comments of people saying “the best kabob in San Diego” motivated us to drive all the way to there for lunch. To be fair, Ash is a must try, and Kabob was OK. Finally, Mr Ali is a very welcoming and nice person 😊.“

“Best Taco Tuesday spot in town. The prices, the quality, and the consistency are all on another level compared to any other taco truck or taqueria in the area. Emphasis on the consistency. They. Don't. Miss. Everybody else, even if I love them with all my heart, I've had a bad experience or two that I had to overlook. A time where they were overwhelmed, or just didn't have their heart in it that day. Not here. Never. And with the number of times I've come back, that's not a coincidence. I miss when they were here on Fridays as well, but still make a point to come get tacos every Tuesday that I can take the time to drive down from my office for lunch.

Parking: I mean, if the secret gets out about how good they are, you might see parking become a bit of a hassle. But for now it's not a problem at all.“

“I stop here every time I’m in this side of my neighborhood. Take the 15 freeway and Exit El Cajon Blvd, go East a few blocks but don’t pass Menlo Ave. Look for Fish and Birria signs waving. They have the whole parking lot just drive in! I usually have two or three Fish tacos (w/o crema) and a pop then they usually know when I’m done because my to-go order is hot and ready!! My grandson is very picky but he looks forward to their Carne Asada Quesa taco’s. I’ve tried a lot off their menu and have never been disappointed, ever. They also GIVE you a “Consommé” which is actually a small portion of their seafood soup not just the fluid, I’ve had whole shrimp in mine many times and small pieces of fish. They’re not stingy with their variety of hot salsas/chili pods and garnishes (limes, cilantro, onions and pickled onions. Lots of ice cold canned and bottled drinks to choose from. This is my only food truck I trust 100% and love their quality of cooking. You’ll agree too once you try them out!“

“This place is amazing. Had the fish tacos and shrimp tacos both were deep fried and delicious. Hubby had the aguachile bontanas and it was so fresh and filling. Fresh made tortillas for the tacos and tostadas. Also had the clamato which quenched my thirst.
I was also completely endeared to the fact that it was an elderly gentleman cooking and seemed to have a speech impediment. The time it took to cook the food was well worth the wait“

“I had the smoked fish tacos ? They did not disappoint. I had to remember to snap a pic before I gobbled them both. Two (2) tacos were very filling so pace yourself in ordering. It’s cool that their menu provides the sizes of the tortilla so you can get a feel for street taco vs regular taco sizes and you know how to order accordingly. I liked the touch that the grilled celery added, just small pieces enhance the flavor and well-seasoned grilled veggies. The atmosphere was well kept too, clean area and tables. The mechanic shop next door was no bother at all. Peaceful, sunny, late morning lunch.“

“Taqueria Campos is a lunch counter in the heart of Barrio Logan. I stopped by accident and was struck by the fact that the customers were locals. For the first time I ordered "a huarache" with birria and adobada. The name caught my attention because it means "a sandal." The half-golden tortilla breaded with meat, lettuce and cheese. I didn't add spice so I could enjoy the meats as they had been cooked. Both meats have good seasoning without abusing salt or spices. The tortilla is a little hard for me but it is easy to navigate once chewed??. For dessert I had two options: chocofla and tres leches flan. I opted for the latter. Again good balance of sweet. I'm not cloying like some other sweet desserts. The kitchen is taken care of by the "boss's" sister. And that leads me to the fact that it is a family taqueria. And as such the customers who served while I dined had that everyday familiarity. In the 45 minutes I was there, there was always a customer asking for an order. For me it is important that local customers return for the family atmosphere and good cuisine. It was worth stopping. (I owe the photo of the flan for next time ??)

Parking: It's a lunchbox. Expect to park on the neighborhood's street.

“This could possibly be the best California/ San Diego style burrito there is. Absolutely the best I’ve ever had. And I tried one of the Pescado tacos and it was the perfect crisp of the batter but not too much batter and not greasy and the fish inside was fresh tasting and flaky. There aren't enough taco trucks in San Diego and this is a welcome sight.The al pastor is off an actual spit (El Trumpo) and the birria is nice and juicy. The people working the truck are also really friendly!They are normally open on Sat/Sun around 3-9PM or 3-11PM at the Mira Mesa location (back parking lot of Best Buy), but have not been super consistent lately (they weren't there at all this past weekend).“

We were having a neighborhood block party for my son’s 5th birthday and I wanted to add a little fun since all the kids in the neighborhood were also kicking off their spring break. The ice cream motorcycle sidecar was available and what a hit it was!! Athena drove into our cul de sac with the music playing, everyone was so excited as soon as they heard the music.... then they saw it was coming from a motorcycle ice cream sidecar!!!
