Mr. Shawarma Pacific Beach is an absolute gem for Mediterranean cuisine! I had the pleasure of trying their Meat Shawarma, Chicken Chapolie Shawarma, and Mandi Chicken, and every bite was a delightful experience.

The presentation of the food was impeccable – vibrant, colorful, and beautifully arranged. The Mandi Chicken, in particular, stood out with its rich golden hue, resting on a bed of fragrant rice, perfectly complemented by fresh lemon slices and mint. Each dish looked like it was crafted with attention to detail and love.

The tenderness of the meat was beyond expectations – the shawarma was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, while the Mandi Chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, packed with aromatic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of the Mediterranean.

A huge shoutout to Zain and Zena , who made the experience even more memorable. Their warm and welcoming attitude added a personal touch that elevated the entire dining experience. They genuinely care about their customers and their passion for good food shows in every interaction.

The food is always great, but it was extra delicious with the side of compassion today! I went back to pay later. Thank you again for the kindness and the yummy lunch. “The interior was gorgeous, which was expected. The servers were also decently attentive. However, my family ordered the appetizer and entree platters and agreed there is better Mediterranean/Persian food in San Diego that is far less expensive. While the food was not bad by any means, this place might be better as a bar experience with great ambiance. Otherwise, not sure it was worth the month wait.

However, i didn’t have sauce to give it the flavor you’re looking for. Everyone recommends the butter paneer which was good but the curry chicken has that hint of heat and Indian curry that makes it more unique. It was good but not great enough for me to go back which I am bummed about. Definitely try it as more sauce for me may be a personal preference“

At just $35, this platter is an absolute steal, especially given the generous portions. The chicken and beef were seasoned to perfection, delivering a depth of flavor that truly impressed. The pasta, served with a marinara sauce — my toddler’s favorite. The platter also came with a fresh, crisp salad and refreshing mixed drinks, making it a well-rounded meal. You can feel the warmth and love in hearty Somalian food.

We opted for the watermelon and mango drinks, which were delightfully sweet and refreshing — just what we needed on a sweltering summer day.

The service was exceptional; the staff was not only attentive but genuinely warm and welcoming. To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary sambusas, a thoughtful touch that left a lasting impression.

We tried many of the dishes and everything was superb, however the server we were given, did not feel welcoming and even when I expressed I had never been here before and this was only my second time having Mediterranean food, I guess I had hoped for something more. i saw others servers more engaged with their customers, however ours made us feel like we were not worth her time. I would have loved the experience more with a more enthusiastic server. Maybe she as having an off day. I’m not sure, but the energy she was putting off was uncomfortable and at times she just seemed rude. All I know is the food I ordered chicken samosa, veggie samosa, chicken biryani, garlic naan and tikka masala (spicy with chicken) is some of the best Indian food that I’ve had on this side of the world. “This Place is a hidden gem. Walking home and saw the recently opened "THE KABOB GRILL". I went in for an exquisite dinner. I had the chicken kabob- with my discount it was less than $15 for a full plate or rice, salad, yogurt and a pita. The plate comes with a grilled tomato and I requested some of their hot sauce. You should too! There is a big parking lot across the street and I was told they offer free valet.“
