“Well, I don't live anywhere near Finjan, but I do have to go very near there about once a month for appts. Today was the day I stopped in to try their coffee. It was such a wonderful experience. I didn't want to go to the "usual" coffee places. I ordered a Salted Pistachio Iced Latte. While I waited, I was able to watch them make the typical Turkish Coffees in the hot sand pit which was so fun and interesting! The employees were so nice and helpful. If you want a "fast" cup of coffee, go somewhere else. Here, you will get an EXCEPTIONAL cup of coffee and homey, fun experience. Take a few minutes, slow down and enjoy this amazing place. Oh, I tried the Pistachio Baklawa. I'm Greek and make Baklava (In Greek) all the time, and this was delicious. Sad that it's not near my home. Would I make a special trip to come back? ABSOLUTELY! I will also bring my friends!!!“

“The grilled chicken in any menu item. The chicken wrap is to kill for, according to my better half. The simple rice with grilled chicken kabob is my go-to. At least once a week.“

“Good middle Eastern food has been hard to come by in San Diego. Besides one or two places, I find the level of quality of food and authenticity is sorely lacking. Pita 22 destroys all of that. Their quality of produce is top level, using fresh ingredients and high quality meats. But most importantly is the flavor and taste of their product. This is authentic tasting middle Eastern food, that you can tell has not just been thrown together, but intelligently thought out to compliment the strong culture this food had developed from. Best hummus I've had in North America, perfectly textured falfels, fresh fresh pita and outstanding shawarma. But I'm a sucker for French fries and these tasted like they just came out of Dizengoff street. Highly recommend this place and their super friendly staff who takes theirv time explaining the more complex dishes.“

“I've only had Falafel California via Uber Eats and I think that the food is top notch. The falafel, hummus and especially the spicy sauce has perfect flavor. My only complaint is that I can't order a side of rice through UE but I definitely can't take a star based on something like that.
Vegetarian options: Truly delicious vegetarian options.“

“The interior was gorgeous, which was expected. The servers were also decently attentive. However, my family ordered the appetizer and entree platters and agreed there is better Mediterranean/Persian food in San Diego that is far less expensive. While the food was not bad by any means, this place might be better as a bar experience with great ambiance. Otherwise, not sure it was worth the month wait.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were available.“

“The food was delicious and lived up to all the reviews I had read and why I chose to dine here. We tried many of the dishes and everything was superb, however the server we were given, did not feel welcoming and even when I expressed I had never been here before and this was only my second time having Mediterranean food, I guess I had hoped for something more. i saw others servers more engaged with their customers, however ours made us feel like we were not worth her time. I would have loved the experience more with a more enthusiastic server. Maybe she as having an off day. I’m not sure, but the energy she was putting off was uncomfortable and at times she just seemed rude. We probably should have just asked to be moved to a different section, since her demeanor was immediately off putting when she first came to the table. However her attitude and demeanor did not negate the deliciousness of the food however it did cost her a more generous tip that I would have loved to have given her. Just want others to be aware.“

“Restaurant Falafel Heights A new place in University Heights, San Diego. The food selection is a classy and simple one. The staff is super, super, friendly, courteous and kind. The owner and staff make you feel like part of the family. There is indoor/outdoor seating. Be sure to ask about the unique wall decor, and story behind each door -- it's a fantastic show piece. The falafels are incredibly tasty, and the wraps are delicious too. The portions are plentiful and you will not leave hungry. Anytime of the day, they have a meal suited for you. Please stop by and try -- you will not regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“A huge thank you to the SDSU location! I only had cash on me, which they don't take, and the staff was so kind. They let me have my falafel naanarito anyway. The food is always great, but it was extra delicious with the side of compassion today! I went back to pay later. Thank you again for the kindness and the yummy lunch. Both make the world a better place.“

“We have ordered Kebabs before here, we recently ordered a meal kit that was all rice and hardly any meat, I mean it was a joke, its a $30 meal. I messaged them because we have ordered several times before and thought maybe they would try to make it right but they never replied. This was 2 weeks ago. We will never buy food here again! The servings are very small and there are tons of other places to eat or order take out around here if they want to be jerks about it! The food is average really, we order out frequently so as not to have to cook and live in the area. We got about $1 worth of rice and lettuce for a $30 meal plate, what a joke!“

“The BEST vegan Mexican food I’ve had in Diego! There are SO many options for vegans and non- vegans alike. The vegan Birria tacos and carne asada fries were amazing. So happy to have found this gem downtown. I will be going back… often! The service is quick and friendly and it’s a great place to people watch on the patio.“

“This rarely happens, but today was one of those crazy days. My husband got off work kinda late and decided he wanted The Kebab Shop for dinner. We literally called 6 mins before closing time, and Angel answered the phone. We asked if it was possible to place an order and that we were just a few mins away. Not only was Angel super nice on the phone, but when we got there (2 mins before closing) he welcomed us with a smile and super friendly. Most places would’ve been like “yeah, not gonna happen”, but ? for Angel and the rest of the team. Definitely love this place for their food, but service is top notch ????“

“With so many places to choose from in this neighborhood, it can be daunting to make a decision. Safi Mediterranean Grill is absolutely wonderful. The food is plentiful and delicious. Large portions and very tasty. The fries, humus, and gyros scratch that Mediterranean food itch.“

“First time ordering out from Micheline's Pita House, and it won't be our last. The food tasted great and the portions were sufficient. I wanted to also leave a 5-Star rating on Yelp but there was a technical issue. Thank you for a great food source in Carmel Valley.“

“I can’t believe how many angry people are occupying space in this society!
It’s like asking a child who is only a few months old, why can’t you feed, bath, change your owner diaper, etc.
This is a brand new location for this business with new employees and new policies and procedures.
It’s going to take a little while for everything to run smoothly.
Notice, no one has anything negative to say about the food. Surprise, surprise!
Stay patient, support your local community.
Be polite, stay patient, be humble, and above all…be human.“

“We went to this place because my husband felt like having Shawarma and I also wanted to try Middle Eastern food. The place was clean, and the lady taking orders at the front was friendly. Although they were busy in the kitchen at lunchtime, the food didn't take long to wait, which was nice. The food was great, and we will definitely go back for sure!
Parking: It’s pretty difficult to find a spot“
