great breakfast burrito and crepes
We had fish, shrimp and carne asada tacos with black beans. They kindly had us sample their chips with white cheese and green chili dip. We enjoyed every bite and left satisfied and happy. In case you are wondering, there is only outside seating and the drink selection is soft drinks and water.
My girlfriend and I were in San Diego for our anniversary and we wanted to eat something before hitting the beach. We went to sunnie's and got some tacos. They were awesome, super tasty. More importantly everyone there was nice especially Jorge who was super cool and asked if we wanted a refill of our guaba juice. most places don't do that.

Sunnie's Ocean Beach Mexican Food is a hidden gem with a super chill, casual, and laid back vibe. The atmosphere is amazing with a view of the beach and good music. The food is fresh, flavorful, and fantastic. Everything tastes fresh and homemade, with huge portions. The omelet is packed and cheesy, and the crispy potatoes are a favorite part. The tacos are so so good, with the street taco being number one. The carnitas tacos are packed with flavor, and the fish taco and California burrito are both outstanding. The rice and beans are flavorful, and the salsa is sooo good. The service is fantastic, welcoming, and quick even when busy. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is fast take-out or outside shaded seating with fair prices. A local spot people genuinely love, perfect after a day at the beach.
