Tacos were the best we ever had.
As an expat and a foodie, I have nothing but great things to say about @Puesto 🥰🇲🇽♥️. The perfect rendition of Mexican soul-food with a modern twist in a comfortable atmosphere. Small town vibes surrounded by the sophistication of Downtown San Diego. A must do for all those foodies out there. Ask for the green salsa, it took me back to the quintessential flavors of my youth in provincial Mexico 🥰♥️🌮🇲🇽😋
I've never waited so long for food at Puesto before. Our reservation was at 7:30 and we didn't leave till almost 10pm. They were closing up and our waiter was nowhere to be found to close us out. They did comp 2 of the apps, but I don't think I'll come to this location again. Always have great service at the mission valley location

Based on the reviews, Puesto at the Headquarters is a great spot for amazing Mexican food and margaritas. The restaurant has a large patio, a great bar, and indoor seating. Guests enjoyed watching the tacos being made. The food is very yummy, with unique menu items like the potato taquitos, which were super good. The Classic Guacamole was excellent, fresh, and had a nice lime flavor. The tacos, including grilled Baja Fish Tacos, Tamarind Shrimp, Carnitas, and Filet Mignon, were very happy with them. The birria bowl had great rice and tasted amazing, and the tres leches cake was unlike anything else. The salsa flight was very tasty with a nice kick. The only downside is that a fish taco order needs to be in 3s, and tacos can be $12-$17 each. The service is kind and efficient. The atmosphere and service are grand, and the food is on point.
