“Best Italian food I've had. I went with an Italian classmate of mine to this place and we had a great experience with the appetizer, entrees, and dessert. Everything overall was great. When I first received my food, I was like there's no way this would fill me up, but it definitely got me there and the end it with desert was perfect. I would love to go back again.“
“Called to ask if they delivered our hotel. The food arrived hot and right on time. We got wings and two pineapple and ham pizzas.Food was great and they even threw in cups and plates since we were getting delivery to a hotel.Would recommend to anyone looking for good pizza after a built day.“
“So good!!! I had the burrata pizza and let me just say it was delicious! The pesto was amazing and had a bit of sweetness to it. Very good! The tomato sauce was to die for! Probably the best ever! The crust was delicious and had a nice flavor! Also there is a quite the groovy and cool aesthetic! Bathroom as sparkling!“
“So so so good! I enjoy finding new lunch spots in the area because things get real boring and real quick around here. I ordered for delivery and I was surprised with hot and fresh everything came as well as the portion sizes. The soup was great and full of veggies. The zucchini sticks with the marinara and ranch hit hard, they were addictive. The pasta surprised me the most because I feel like it can be hit and miss at most places because apparently seasoning your food is hard or something. But everything was flavorful and a great price I gotta say. I'll probably dine in at some point because I'd like to see what their dinner service looks like and what the vibe of the restaurant itself is like, but all in all I highly recommend.“
“As always, we were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated immediately (always recommend a rezi just in case). Our server, Angelo, from beginning to end was awesome and friendly. The restaurant is quiet and nicely laid out. The food....amazing. We started with calamari, which is a generous amount, followed by entrees (mine pictured and the wife got the gnocchi), and capped off with crème brûlée. Delicious. Can't wait until next time!“
“Hidden behind another pizza joint, I suggested we eat here instead. I was honestly thinking they would have pizza by the slice, but their way of competing against the many other pizza choices around the village is different. They offer a menu more than just pizza, including pasta, salad, veggie appetizers, and wine. Their pizza is practically a thin crust until you get to the end. It was amazing how perfect the crust was. It wasn't floppy anywhere and had a good chew. It was wonderful to dip into the leftover sauce from the stuffed shells, which was also great on its own. The pronounced lemon in the filling was awesome; I actually liked that it wasn't just a hint of lemon. The ambiance is intimate, but it's nice where we sat in their outdoor area. The service was OK. We weren't greeted when we stepped inside or as we walked up. The server didn't present our food by name, but rather placed it on the table. I don't think they even said, "enjoy". It just wasn't personable for a small local shop. When we left, however, another server who was working inside said bye and thank you. Guess it depends who you get.“
“Absolutely amazing experience, fortunate enough to have the chance to speak with the owner who's very passionate about pizza and has a deep understanding of the origin and history of it. Ordered 3 pies and was pleased with all of them. I will be back again and will recommend to others as well. Thank you for excellent and over the top customer service!“
“Great sandwiches! Good variety and meats and veggies are super fresh. I got the turkey avocado which is made with fresh roasted turkey and your choice of bread- recommend the squaw, it's soft and nice flavor. can order half or full sandwiches but always manage to eat a full. Inside and patio seating options. Grocery inside offers fresh pastas, sauces, drinks, cheeses and more. Reasonable prices too. Excellent go-to deli!“
“I’ve lived in the village for a couple of years and I always thought this place would be another semi good Italian restaurant (overpriced and underwhelming), but I was so wrong! We saw a promotion they were running so finally made it there this evening. The lasagna was legitimately the best lasagna I’ve ever had and I’ve had a ton of lasagna in my life. Even the bread and bruschetta style dipping sauce they provide free of charge was outrageously delicious. This place isn’t pretentious at all and to top it off the service was stellar. Highly, highly recommend!“
“We had already been to the location in uptown Carlsbad and had always wanted to try this location by the beach. The crew members were very courteous and attentive. We were seated at an ocean view location, which was perfect til the screaming kid next to us kept testing the acoustics in the building. The parents had no intention of calming him down. We asked to move to another seat, and we took the option of sitting in the bar area. The outside dining area wasn't available for another hour. Unfortunately, we could periodically still hear the kid screaming, but it wasn't as loud. The food was great! Our waitress was excellent! The seating in the main lobby could've been a little more spacious, and the parking could be an issue if it weren't for the great valet parking. We definitely will be back.“
“Went there for lunch with a friend from outta town. The greeting was friendly and the service was professional. Food was great and our waiter was friendly and kept our glasses full. I highly recommend Olive Garden if you haven't been there but if you have then go back for their quality food and service.“
“I have been eating here for 20 + years, I have seen the owners change, the food change and the servers come and go. Two things always stayed the same, great food and service,It feels strange to go to a "nice restaurant" and have to ask for salt, pepper, and red pepper to be brought out to the table, I know fewer places have it out, it's nice when you don't have to bug a busy wait staff to get it and wait to eat until you get it.That is my rant, love the place and will continue to go for another 20 years.Parking: Parking can be a bit tight and a bit rough to find in this lot I recommend getting there early and plan on hunting for a spot“
“I wouldn't call it a traditional Italian restaurant but my daughter did enjoy the carbonara. She wanted a pasta dish at Windmill food hall, so I ordered a carbonara for her with no black pepper. Flavors were creamy and not too salty. It was actually quite tasty. She finished almost the whole dish and the breadstick that comes with. Carbonara was $16.36 after tax. It was a decent size and had a good amount of cheese. If we're in the area, we'll order again. It's located in the corner, so it's easy to spot. It's a little noisy as it's near the games and arcade where more kiddos are at.“

“We hit Jay's twice... needed a dog friendly patio. Parking lot on busy corner but once the food arrived we didn't notice the traffic. Seafood combo was topnotch. Hot, fresh baked bread sticks disappeared in a blink. Came back for minestrone another day.“
“Spirito's is truly authentic Italian food. Excellent quality. I usually get pizza to go but today I dined in. I had a special - Scallop ala Pomodora. Absolutely delicious. Garlic, fresh basil, fresh stewed tomatoes & plenty of scallops tossed with spaghetti (and by that I mean that all throughout the spaghetti there were tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil & scallops). I suggest that you go early. They get swamped. And you need to stand in line to order & pay. But they bring your food to you and check on your table often. Plus they have a Guy Fierino (sp?) signed "Diners, Dives & Drive Ins" poster hung on the wall.Parking: Free parking in a strip mall parking lot shared with a tacqueria, CVS & a gym plus a gas station & Von's far across the parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair as the tables can be moved around to accommodate different needs and they are located on both the left & right of the entrance.“
“The best spot for pizza and pasta. This place is a game changer. I’ve had so many different pizza places in my life but by far this is THE BEST. Also not to mention the best prices. Big portions. The vodka penne is to die for and I love how you can get just a half order of any pasta for under $10.“
“Given it's inside an amusement park, I'm not surprised by the sharp price point ($23.99 for adults, and $11.99 for children, 3 and under are free). It did hurt though given we were 5 adults (fortunately we only had toddlers and infants). You pay upon entering, and they give you the forks and napkins for each of you as they invite you to take a seat anywhere. There's plenty of seating available of various group sizes, and they were all relatively clean when we were there on a Tuesday at a smidgen past noon. There were 3 meat option pizzas on one side (pepperoni+sausage/ham, Hawaiian, and pepperoni). Then there is beefy tomato sauce pasta and chicken alfredo pasta. On the other side appeared to be 3 other veggie pizzas, mac and cheese, and garlic bread / breadsticks. I appreciate how they separate meat vs. vegetarian options. There is also two salad bars in the center, where there is a pasta salad, greens, grape tomatoes, onions, corn, peas, bell peppers, olives, chickpeas, etc. In the back of the space was a small variety of coke products (not the same amount of offerings as the unlimited Coke refills with the souvenir cup) with unlimited refills. I am however surprised there were no dessert / fruit offered. There are bathrooms inside, which were conveniently located. The food is legit pretty good, especially for a theme park. And because of the theme park, the pricing hurts given how few options you actually have, and how cheap the items are (pasta, pizza, and salad). But everyone, especially the picky toddlers, were full and had a good meal so the place met what we came to get.“
“My family and I are in town for my son's soccer game and we randomly picked this restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised by how great it was! The service was wonderful and were the only ones there. It was beautiful on the patio and very relaxing. The food was very good, everyone liked their meal which never happens in my family! I would certainly recommend.“
“Shelby is so cool, she suggested this short rib which she apparently eats every day. It was phenomenal and it was one of the best things I've ever had. She also allowed me to taste like 2(0) beers, so by the time I was doing the tasting I could only drink one whole beer.DJ was fire“
“Food was decent, the servers were friendly, but the overall Service was meh. We were a group of 6 guys who were celebrating a pal's birthday (cost was not an issue). We had issues receiving the following after many requests:* Additional Bread - requested 6 times* Red Pepper flakes - requested 4 times* Refilled water glass (never happened)Appreciated dining at Via Vai but they aren't the only restaurant in town. Won't be back for a very long while.“
