“We used Criscito’s Pizza at the welcome party before my daughter’s wedding in Fallbrook, in August. These guys were so professional, the beautiful layout of the pizzas, and so many varieties. Our guests LOVED these pizza. The guys were working in 98 degree weather, with smiles on their faces. Just an amazing experience with them. I had never even been to their Carlsbad restaurant, it was just a lucky coincidence that we found each other. I will definitely be dining in their restaurant soon AND for my next big party. “Excellent little pizza place in La Jolla!

The pizza was thin crust, light, and really crispy—exactly what we were looking for. It's a great place to stop for a quick snack without feeling like you just ate a huge, heavy meal.

The gentleman who runs the place told us he's been there since 1988, and he couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We came in right at the end of the night, when a lot of places would be trying to rush you out the door, but he was just as friendly as could be and made us feel completely welcome.

It's also in a great location, only about a block and a half from the beach at La Jolla Shores.

Excellent pizza, great little neighborhood atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service. If you're around La Jolla Shores and want a good slice of thin, crispy pizza, I highly recommend stopping by House of Pizza. We'll definitely be back!“

“One of the best spots in the area for Mediterranean food. We stumbled upon this place last year and enjoyed it so much that we came back again this year.

For the price, the quality and portion sizes make it well worth a visit. Unlike most Mediterranean restaurants that serve everything on a standard platter, the food here is beautifully presented on a long wooden board, making it perfect for sharing.

The Family Plate, which is advertised for 3–5 people, is realistically enough for about 3–4 adults, depending on everyone’s appetite. The Trio Platter is a must-order—the hummus, muhammara, and baba ganoush are all excellent. Just be careful not to fill up on the appetizers before the main course arrives.

Their wine selection is also very good. The meats were flavorful, although ours were slightly overcooked this visit. The chicken, however, had a nice crispy exterior and was delicious. The rice has a unique, light flavor that’s really enjoyable, but you may want to order an extra side since the portion that comes with the meal goes quickly. The falafel was ok, the lentil soup was good and light.

Overall, it’s a great place to bring family or friends, or simply enjoy a healthy meal before or after a beach day. It can get busy depending on the time, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours.

The only downside is that the service can be hit or miss, as they often seem a little short-staffed. Thankfully, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.“

“We decided to try Urbn today, and I’m so glad we did. From the first bite to the last, everything was delicious. The whipped ricotta with the warm bread was probably my favorite appetizer, the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor, and the wings were some of the best I’ve had in a long time.

But what really made this visit special was our server, Carli. She was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. She made us feel like we mattered, and that’s something I always notice when we go out to eat.

I’m very honest with my reviews. If I leave anything less than five stars, it’s usually because something was missing. Today, there was nothing to complain about. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.
