La Dolce Vita Ristorante offers authentic Italian cuisine like Nona used to make, hidden in a quiet courtyard. The staff is very nice, with a wonderful waiter, and the owner is friendly. The food is excellent, with generous portions and great flavor. While the service might be slow on busy nights, it is a great value for La Jolla standards. Despite occasional overcooked pasta, it remains a lovely spot for a long-standing dining experience worth returning to.
