“This restaurant truly is a hole in the wall and could easily be missed if judged too quickly for the way it looks on the outside. The food is delicious and feels like you’re eating in someone’s home unlike any chain restaurant. Ali is so attentive to his costumers and has such a welcoming bubbly personality. I will say to expect a wait time if there are a lot of people because most of the food is made on the spot. It would probably be better to order the food to go because there’s only three small tables inside. Overall it was a great experience and amazing taste!“

Taste of African Cuisine African • $

“The food is amazing!! We got the spicy and sweet chicken, coconut rice, plantains, and juice. We got there at 8:01pm, because the website says they are open until 9, and Google says they are open until 8:30. The blonde woman who works there was incredibly kind. She heated us up food to go even though they were technically closed. Amazing food and employees. But please update your hours.“

“I have nothing but sweet words about this place. I am a tourist here and have tried another Nigerian restaurant that was not much to write home about. I ordered ogbona and egusi for myself and hubby and it tasted like home food.
The portions were big too and we could have shared a soup instead of buying two meals.
Customer service was good though the setup does not encourage physical contact. A sweet young boy came out to inform us that our order was being prepared.

Ordering was easy via the kiosk in the waiting room and wait was not too long.

Worthy to note is that there are multiple food places in the same place and they each have their ordering kiosk. You Order & pay online or via the kiosk and your food is brought out to you.

Food is a bit pricey but worth it. Will return again but hope I can get my chinchin this time.“

“During our recent visit, it was impossible not to notice that nearly every table had ordered the "2 Person or More Sports Plate." At just $35, this platter is an absolute steal, especially given the generous portions. The chicken and beef were seasoned to perfection, delivering a depth of flavor that truly impressed. The pasta, served with a marinara sauce — my toddler’s favorite. The platter also came with a fresh, crisp salad and refreshing mixed drinks, making it a well-rounded meal. You can feel the warmth and love in hearty Somalian food.

We opted for the watermelon and mango drinks, which were delightfully sweet and refreshing — just what we needed on a sweltering summer day.

The service was exceptional; the staff was not only attentive but genuinely warm and welcoming. To top it all off, they surprised us with complimentary sambusas, a thoughtful touch that left a lasting impression.

Overall, this spot delivers on both quality and value, making it a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy a satisfying, well-priced meal for a family. Highly recommended!

Dietary restrictions: All meats offered are halal.

Parking: There is a spacious private parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: The food is mild in spicy levels so my toddler loved it. They offer a sectioned off table if you would like privacy.“
