Sweet Jerk Chicken
African Cuisine Reviews
Daniel had wonderful customer service! The food and drinks were delicious. The ambience can do a little bit of work, but overall this place is a gem!
This place has the best Kenyan food. It is like a party in your mouth. Dan helped us and he is such a sweetheart. He let us try every dish and my gosh was it delicious. This is the only place serving Kenyan food in San Diego. My favorite was the jerk chicken, pilau, coconut chicken curry, fried plantains, coconut lentils. The mango and passion fruit juices are divine. Groovy music playing. My gosh I felt trasported. I'm definitely coming back. Thank you Dan! :)
Daniel was fantastic

African Cuisine offers excellent food and service with generous portion sizes and a slight spicy kick. The restaurant is popular with students and serves a wide variety of dishes, including sambusas, curry chicken, and sweet jerk chicken. The chicken is always moist and flavorful, and the plates are always packed full. The inside dining area is really nice with plenty of seating, and the patio is also available. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, offering samples and great vegan options like tasty lentils and collard greens. Many find it simply amazing and worth the visit for its delicious food and great value. The spicy jerk chicken can be pretty spicy, but the sweet jerk chicken is more BBQ sweet. They also have incredible sides, including two different rices like saffron rice, and perfect drinks like the mixed berry and mango.
