We (two people) split a vegan special and added Awaze Tibs (a stewed spiced beef), honey wine, and coffee. Everything was exceptional and we had plenty of leftovers! Food came out fairly quickly, the ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant was surprisingly busy between both dine in and takeouts picking up their food. We will absolutely be coming back!
This place was wonderful! Walking in felt like entering someone's home, it was very cozy and inviting. One of the owners spoke to us and was very kind. His wife helped us and she had an inviting gracious energy. The food was incredible. It had just the right amount of spice and richness. I feel very satisfied and will definitely be back. They deserve aaalll the business! Highly recommend

We LOVE Ethiopian food. Healthy, delicious and fun. We’ve eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants in different cities. Although it’s a shame that SD doesn’t have more Ethiopian food, Lucy is worth the drive from Carlsbad. Injera is great and food is aromatic and well cooked. Highly recommend.
