Cafe Coyote Reviews
Enjoyed my short visit to San Diego with lunch here. The food was great and cocktails, plentiful. Will definitely go back. The staff was friendly as well
recently visited while in San Diego 9/2023. service and atmosphere was great. had an order or steak fajitas and chicken fajitas. delicious! also tried one fish taco,, excellent!
however, we started with fresh guacamole, it was good but the portion was a small ramiken, very small portion, posibly 1.5 avacados for 11.99.
I thought maybe they brought a side of guacamole and charged full price?

Cafe Coyote is a lively restaurant perfect for dining with friends, offering excellent service and a fun atmosphere. The tequila shrimp and margaritas are popular choices, and the restaurant is well known for its really good tacos and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the delicious drinks, including the michelada flight and the Ofrenda margarita, which is an October special. The tacos Al pastor are highly recommended and complement the sopa de albóndigas well. Visitors can enjoy plenty of chips and napkins, and for breakfast, there is a pet-friendly seating area with a doggie menu, making it welcoming to pet owners. The cream chicken dish remains a must-try, and the fresh, handmade tortillas are noted as the best ever.
The atmosphere is vibrant, making it a favorite spot, though it can get crowded, especially on busy days. Parking might be a challenge, but there is a small underground lot nearby for convenience. The restaurant also offers outdoor dining, and their margaritas are preferred by many over other nearby places. Carnitas are leaner, and the summer-time rose sangria is highly praised. Guests enjoy generous portions, decent pricing, and the accommodating staff. Overall, Cafe Coyote remains a popular choice for a fun and tasty Mexican meal, with many eager to return.
