“This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Crystal Pier in San Diego. Both trips we have ordered deliver from SD TapRoom and all of our meals have been delicious. Last night was the best one for me though. I actually called them thinking they had deliver me a regular crust pizza instead of gluten-free (I have celiac). It tasted WAY TOO GOOD to be gluten-free, but it was! I have no idea how they made such a good crust (I actually said this can’t be what I ordered since it tasted so good)! The salads are also fabulous and my sister had the fish taco’s and loved them. Chili and burgers have also been a hit. Thanks for a great couple of dinners!“

“Best food of my trip! This made my birthday. We had carne asada fries as an appetizer, margaritas, and pork chops. The potatoes were excellent. And they brought me out a very nice wine pairing to my desert for my birthday. The server was good . I would recommend.“

“Our first time at this restaurant and overall it was good. We were seated at the patio as we had our little Yorkie with us. We had reservations for 6:45pm and they were able to seat us at 6:30pm. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, it was a little too kid heavy on the patio though and parents were just letting their kids run rampant, running into the wait staff and tripping and hurting themselves. We ordered the Juice Theory hazy beer, couldn't get any better, the Brittney Spritz, excellent, the fries, excellent, the shishito peppers, outstanding, the crab crusted halibut, outstanding and the Cesar salad with the halibut filet. The salad was good, however, they just threw the filet in the oven with no spices, not even salt and pepper, and threw it on the salad, not great. Our server, Brie, was superb! Overall it was a good experience, just won't order the salad with the filet again, unless they improve.“

“Great place with great service and great vibes. Love sitting outdoors , they have a pond with koi fish. Got happy hour beer and apps. Everything from the beers to the food and staff was amazing , and i felt calm and never rushed to finish quickly.“

“This is the first time I’ve been somewhere quite like this. It’s a classic brewery and restaurant but it’s set in a massive space with multiple seating sections with large, excellent quality TVs. Beyond burger was a little uninspired but that’s my fault for getting something uninspiring. The beer was good, especially the coconut haze, and the spot looks like it would be electric during a major sporting event. I ended up watching curling. :-)“

“My husband and I are familiar with the brewery in Mission Valley so they had our favorite San Diego gold and nut brown beers. The pizza truck gave us a great thin crust pizza to eat with our beers. A great date night.“

“Stopped into Mason Ale Works in Barrio Logan and was pleasantly surprised to see they had hard ciders on tap. I ordered a cider flight and was immediately in my happy place — great variety and a fun way to try a few different flavors.

The bartender was super friendly, and the whole vibe was casual and fun, the kind of place you end up staying longer than planned.

Even better, you can grab tacos from Tacos El Villasana out back and enjoy them on the patio with your drinks.

“The team who works here is amazing. The beer has depth and character and the Hazy's.... OMG! Top notch! It is a San Diego must see/taste brewery. One thing that stands out as well is that the have sours but not traditional ones. They are not sour at all, more like a fruit drink. I can now bring my non beer loving friends with me and enjoy. There are two other breweries attached to this one as well. Three breweries who all have specialties so whatever type of beer you like you will find it it.“

“Delicious food and drink! I’m from out of town but visit San Diego regularly. I always look forward to eating at Karl Strauss Brewing Co. One of my favorite meals is the black bean burger. It’s so delicious - tastes as good as a regular burger to me. So much flavor. The service is great and employees are friendly. I’m usually by myself so I eat at the bar and they sometimes offer samples of beers that compliment my meal. Looking forward to my next visit! 😋“

“Bivouac Adventure Lodge is such a gorgeous space! Every little detail is extremely intentional and you can tell so much thought and love has gone into curating the space. Lara was gracious enough to let me host my journal club in her space and everyone loved it! The food and drinks were delicious and it was the perfect ambiance for a Camp themed event! Cannot speak enough about how much I loved hosting here!“

“Hidden gem!! They make their own cocktails and simple syrups that taste amazing. The interior is super nice, tons of TVs, and a free pool table. You can rent their golf (and other sports) simulator or just pop in for a drink in a nice atmosphere. We met one of the owners, Daniel, he was super nice and welcoming!“
