“A San Diego landmark. Used to frequent this classic dive bar and whiskey emporium up until about 10 years ago when I moved. They’ve spent some money and updated it and it’s all for the better. Ashley helped me and was a pleasure. It’s a true gem. A must hit spot and close to parking and the airport.“

Peter D’s is a pretty good-sized bar, so there’s plenty of room to spread out, grab a bite, and enjoy yourself without feeling like you’re packed in a can of sardines! 😂
The food was good, the service was okay, and the atmosphere made for a good time. The service wasn’t exactly lightning speed, but hey, I wasn’t there to break any land-speed records. I was there to relax, eat, and have a good time!
All in all, Peter D’s is a solid spot to kick back, enjoy some decent food, and unwind. Would I go back? Absolutely! The food was good, I had a good time, and nobody had to drag me out by my boots. That’s a successful outing in my book! 🍻😎

“Everything, from the communication leading up to our visit, to the elegant service, delicious food (even with an electrical problem in the kitchen causing a limited selection - so well handled we hardly noticed!), to the buzzing ambience, to the superb setting and decor - all came together in a perfectly beautiful evening. “You can't call it a dive bar when they have $300 bourbons on the shelf! Erin is great. We went there twice and will probably go back again later. And there are pinball machines and a pool table and other arcade games. Fun place.“

“We came over to watch the New Orleans Saints game.
They were open before 10 am and were very welcoming as we walked in.

We had our choice of TVs and tables.
We ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage. It was really good.
And the Asian dry rub wings….. dang!

The staff came over and checked on us a few times.
Very nice. Great service.

I don’t know how we missed this place before.

“Great little dive bar in Ocean Beach. Stop in for a cheap adult beverage and enjoy hanging out with the locals! I definitely felt in the minority here as a tourist but not in a bad way! The staff was welcoming as we're the patrons. I cannot attest to the food as I didn't eat but it looked and smelled great! Fans are running to keep you feeling cool even with the heat!“

“I came here after work on a Friday night. It just so happen to be a Padres vs Dodgers game and this place was packed! I mean, for your regular local bar... it was poppin'!
Everyone had a good, positive vibe watching the game regardless of the rivalry (there was a mix of both fans here) they didn't have the jukebox playing, so it was strictly game time vibes!
But as soon as the game ended, Jaqui, the bartender at the time, turned the music UP!
Jaqui was the ONLY bartender serving the patrons all night! She not only was running around like crazy but she kept such an inviting, friendly smile the whole time! She made sure to keep a conversation going with her guests as well.
While I was here, I didn't hear of any complaints about the service. Jaqui made sure my refreshments 😜 were always full as well. She's by far the best I've seen yet!!
Overall, it's a cool bar to chill at during baseball games or even to have a night cap after work! & with Jaqui as your bartender, you'll leave here on a positive note and I bet you'll be back 😋😉“

“Went in on a Friday night with a couple friends and had a pretty good time. The place had a relaxed vibe, not too loud, and it was easy to actually have a conversation. Bartender was friendly and gave a few suggestions when we couldn't decide what to order. Drinks came out quick and tasted great. The crowd was mixed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Prices were fair for the area too. Nothing overly fancy, just a solid neighborhood bar where you can kick back for a few hours. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area again.“

If you want bougie overpriced drinks and spotless atmosphere go somewhere else and save this gem for locals. Good place to enjoy a few after work and watch sports and people play pool. “I came in to Lucys for the first time after a horrible lay off. I never knew this place existed! My friend works at the pottery place next door. “The woman, Kristie I think is her name, that runs this bar is so amazingly friendly and wonderful to be around I love going there partially because of her, but they also have two pool tables and a dart board which is the reason I go. It's an amazing diverse mix of people in the middle of Hillcrest. It's not all gay or all straight. Don't pass this bar up it's been around for a long time and it's a great place to go.“

“The Catalina Lounge has been our "football hang-out" for the last few weeks and we've had a BLAST. Speaking of Blast-From-The-Past" we found two of our favorite bartenders here Brie and Brandon working the football crowd. It was refreshing to see that they remember all of us as soon as we walked in (by name!!!!) and what was also awesome they remembered what we drank, talk about those two making us feeling special. The ambiance on Sunday's is football, football, fun, and good times. During half time my husband and his friend like to play pool and additionally they put out some good eats (for FREEEEEEEEEEE) - yesterday it was nachos, 7 layer dip, juicy full size hot dogs (not the cheapies) and some yummy cookies and cakes. I don't know any other bar that goes that far. If you enjoy your SunFunDays watching games with friends (or by yourself, people are extra friendly there) having a ice cold beverage of choice and a GREAT time head on over.....Thanks AGAIN Brie and Brandon- you gave 10 PLUS service yesterday, see you NEXT Sunday!“

“I recommend however I feel that guests must temper their expectations for the emo nite experience. The indoor bar is over packed and the outdoor patio does not have sufficient sound. The bartenders were attentive and pleasant. The bathroom had toilet paper and soap.“

“Captain's Quarters was so much fun. Everything was decked out for Halloween and looked really cool. We had an 8pm reservation and it was lively, but not crazy busy. The drinks were awesome - the espresso martini with salted cold foam was one of the best I've had! The staff was super friendly too.“
