Came here from Sacramento to visit and glad this was my first experience in SD's gayborhood! My bartender, Melissa, was super attentive and fun to talk to and so were the people nearby. Was fun connecting with strangers. I had a Hemingway Daquiri to drink and a grilled cheese, fries, and onion rings to eat, all of which were delicious. Love the vintage-y aesthetic, had a homey vibe to it.
Stopped by Nunu Tavern during the daytime recently and had a really great experience. The bar has a fantastic retro vibe that’s fun and welcoming—vintage decor, classic touches, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxed afternoon drink or chat.

The breakfast grilled cheese is a must-try, and the BLT + avocado and black&bleu burger are highly recommended by guests. The bartender, known as Mike, provides excellent service, making everyone feel welcomed and accommodated. The comfy booths, along with non-greasy, crispy bacon and onion rings, make it a favorite spot for delicious late-night meals.
