“This McDonald's on Roll Dr is a must-stop and super convenient since it's located right after crossing the Otay border. As expected for a border location, the place gets very crowded and busy, but the service was surprisingly fast. The facilities look clean and modern, and our food was served fresh and hot. The employees were very friendly and attentive, which is highly appreciated in such a high volume spot. It is the perfect place to grab a quick bite right after you cross.“

“This McDonald's is the best one we have ever been to. We drove all the way from San Bernardino just to watch their noche de lucha libre. We are a WWE family, so we love lucha libre. The owner is awesome as well as his staff. They literally went far and beyond for us. I really wish I would have gotten the name of the young lady that was able to get us some lucha libre masks. We will definitely be back to this McDonald's when in San Diego. And their redbull dragonberry energizer is so bomb!! Definitely helped for that 2 hour drive back home.“

“Really good service there was this gentleman giving the orders from the drive thru on 05/31/2025 approx 10:35 am i dont know the name but still liked the service he confirmed the sausage was pork as i am not allowed to have pork and also he changed the biscuits to chicken. I know this seems pretty silly but who does care in todays time like this. Kuddos mann that guy deserves a raise for his attitude. Really felt delighted this time at MCD.!!“

“When I previously had lunch here, the food was cold and the fries were stale, so I wasn't happy. I can't really complain about how hot my delicious sausage McGriddle meal with orange juice was today. I was hungry.
This location is fantastic, and the welcoming staff ensures that the restrooms and space are kept clean.“

“It is my second time at thso McDonald's and each time the experience has been a positive one. I do want to acknowledge the manager at this particular location, although I did not ask her name I did witness how she was constantly wiping clean the kiosk screens and all the workers were busy mopping and taking trays back from the stations. It is one of the cleanest McDonald's Ive been to. I dined-in today at 1240 pm and received my order 3 minutes later. All the staff members were friendly and working non-stop. Needless to say, I will return to this location in the future.“

“This might be my new favorite McDonald’s considering that I stop at the EV charger nearby somewhat often. Initially, I wanted to give it five stars because of how clean it is and how friendly the staff were. However, I did wait about 20 minutes to get my order, which consisted of a big Mac and a large fountain drink. There was another guy in there that had been waiting longer than I had maybe between 20 and 25 minutes. He got pretty upset and was using profanities and demanded his money back. The employee who took care of him, handled it very professionally, so my hat’s off to her for that. The staff working in the back preparing orders seemed very professional as well, and there wasn’t the raucous non-work-related chatter that I’m used to in some McDonald’s. The dining area was one of the cleanest that I’ve seen, and the restroom was quite clean and well kept as well, especially since they are not locked here. The lady who eventually brought the order to my table (I believe her name was Kathy) had been quite busy delivering orders to people’s cars, but she was very friendly and professional and asked me if I needed anything else. Jeremiah also seems like a very nice and professional guy, and he was being quite courteous to other customers in the store. I had a pleasant conversation with an elderly gentleman sitting next to me while I ate my food. I will definitely come back to this McDonald’s when I’m in the area and want something to eat or drink. Again, if it weren’t for the unusually long, wait time for my order, I would’ve almost certainly given this location five stars.“

“This is my favor McDonald in the area. It is so clean from the inside and outside tables to the restroom. Good and very helpful services. Sometime insatiable there for hours to read the news or responding to my emails and they never said anything.“

“Visited McDonald's while in San Diego and the experience was pretty average overall. The food came out hot and fresh, especially the fries, but the wait time was a bit longer than expected during rush hour. Staff were polite, though the dining area could’ve been cleaner. Convenient spot for a quick meal if you’re in the area, just not the smoothest fast-food experience I’ve had.“

“We went here because we needed to do something with kids as it was raining. Kids had fun playing in the play area, it’s spacious and wasn’t too busy. The most important for me is that they were willing to accommodate for my son’s allergies unlike some other locations we have been to.“

“Well, I don’t gotta tell you about this place cause you’ve been here 1 million times but when you’re hungry and you need a quick bite, they don’t let you down. It’s nothing special you get what you’re expected to get a taste the same way as every other place like thisand it’s kind of comforting.“

“Food here is what you would expect from McDonald's, hot, quick and cheap. Don't expect Michelin Star quality and flavor. The service is good, staff is great! Parking is plenty. Beware of the heavy foot traffic from transients. That is the only drawback at this location.“

“I tried the chicken wraps and a 2 cheeseburger meal. I went with the drive thru and service was fast as their was two drive up spaces and no waiting (Saturday at 6:30 pm) not sure how busy during the weekday. I asked to modify the condiments on the cheeseburgers, and the order was repeated back to me perfectly. The Agent at the drive thru was very friendly, even when answering my question I had on the wraps and modifying the cheeseburgers. The entire process (from order to receiving my food), seriously took less than 5 minutes. Food was prepared exactly to order and all items were ready when I got to the pick up window after paying. The drink was first item I received and was very cold and not leaking. All hot foods were freshly made and definitely had not sat under a heat lamp. This was my first visit to this McDonalds and I will definitely be coming back.“

“Haven't been in a McDonald's in decades. Went in to pick up four plain fish fillets. Just the fillets. No bun, cheese or nothing. Was making a a appetizer. It was perfect. I read they are wild caught. Alaskan white Pollock. Would highly recommend. Have a nice day.“

“Worse every day.No cashier, kiosk order only;So when you have a special order that the kiosk can't provide, you have to stand in line again. Then the worker looks at you all mad because they are so understaffed that she's trying to do 9 things at once. The forced smile only makes it worse.“

“As a Lyft driver who frequents downtown, I stop here fairly often to use the restroom and eat or have a cup of coffee. Considering the amount and type of traffic they must get, the restroom always seems to be pretty clean overall. The staff has thus far been courteous and pretty professional.

Update: Came back on 25 September, still a good experience. Able to use the restroom then order coffee. Order ready quickly and the staff were all courteous. This is a great place to stop when I’m working in the area. I’ve never had trouble finding parking. Excellent considering that it’s basically in the middle of downtown.“

The experience as a whole made me feel like I was being treated not just as a customer, but as a guest. Kudos to the team, and especially to the gentleman at the front counter—he is an absolute asset to this location and, without a doubt, deserves recognition for his outstanding performance.

“I’ve had multiple experiences at this McDonald’s, and Amir has taken my order in the past as well and he has never gotten it wrong. Every single time, he’s been friendly, professional, and on top of everything, even when the store is super busy.

Amir keeps things running smoothly, makes sure orders are accurate, and brings a positive attitude that really stands out its amazing. It’s rare to see someone be this consistent in customer service, especially in a fast-paced environment. You can tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about doing a great job.

“What I like is that I don't have to use a kiosk. This is how I remember ordering food at McDonald's. Dealing with an actual person. Saying good morning, thank you, and have a nice day. Maybe its because I'm old school, but this is by far the best McDonald's experience I have had in YEARS.“

“Mostly a self service type of McDonald's as you don't really speak with any employees. You simply order on the kiosk and then pick up when ready. That being said its very clean and convenient place to eat. I do however miss the old days when you actually ordered from an employee and getting to enjoy a cigarette along with my Big Mac.“

“I rate this particular location a four because it's inside Walmart and extremely busy also on this particular day the kiosk was not in sync with the locations inventory therefore I was denied a caramel frappe and a spicy chicken sandwich (out of stock). My advice is to order at the counter and not use the kiosk if you're going to the Walmart McDonald's in lemon Grove. One last note the double cheeseburger was a little dry.The gentleman at the counter was very pleasant and and possibly the manager I'm not sure but he was he was nice and explain things to me after I had already ordered and received my order.“

“Made a mistake on my mobile app that directed me to the navy base. I did not have access to the base and was not able to cancel or change Mc Donald locations for my order. The general manager Carol was so nice and went above and beyond her service. She insisted I get my moneys worth and met with me outside the base to give me my order. Parking: There is only one way in and one way out. There's plenty of parking, but only one diagonal row. It was my first time having to park at North Dallas Forty. There's nothing that can be done about it.“

“You really can't beat McDonald's fries when they're fresh. They came out hot, perfectly salted, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I also grabbed a Coca-Cola, and somehow McDonald's Coke just tastes better than anywhere else. I learned they have a special Coca-Cola recipe and handling process made specifically for McDonald's, and you can definitely tell the difference. “Took the grandkids to eat. They played around in the playground and the video games. Unfortunately, some of the video games were not operational and were turned off.
We had to go down to request condiments that were missing from our orders and one of the drinks did not match what had been ordered.“

“I just wanna say the 10:15 am team working last Sunday (yesterday) 9/6/26 did an amazing job! My 3 hash browns were perfect, fresh, crispy. It was one of the best I ever had. My sausage mc muffin tasted a lil’ old and not fresh. But, overall I was grateful for my hash browns . Keep it up!“
