“there are not a lot of Peruvian restaurants in San Diego. The food here is really good. You should definitely give it a try if you’ve never had Peruvian food before. Their hours are super weird. They’re only open for lunch a couple of days and are not open for dinner so make sure you check the website before you go. It’s relatively casual so don’t be expecting a fine dining experience.“

As someone from the East Coast where great Peruvian food is easy to find, I was excited to discover this local, woman-owned, gem that checked off all my boxes. First of all the ambiance is super cute - both inside and outside. My waiter was friendly, attentive and the food came out quick.

I had the traditional Lomo Saltado dish (make sure to ask for their homemade spicy sauce 😋), Yuca Huancaina (which was 15% off during their happy hour), and tried their chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling + lucuma ice cream on the side. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Mama G!“

“garlic noodles with Pollo. first timer. absolutely delicious. we came right after their lunch rush and sat in their outdoor patio. Kylie, our server was so sweet & cute. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. I'm Asian, my boyfriend is white/Mexican ( he does not like Asian food) he ordered pork tacos yum! flama llama was perfect for us Asian/Peruvian infusion? who'd have thunk. I definitely recommend this place.“
