Meet Dumpling Reviews
Dumplings are really good here. You can tell by the wrapper and the freshness of the filling. The Chive, Shrimp, Pork dumplings had chunks of shrimp instead of minced which adds to the texture. Cucumber salad is perfectly tangy and slightly spicy. The beef noodles also had tender meat and bouncy noodles. This is a no frills place with high quality food. The server communicated wait times and was respectful throughout our meal. As a New Yorker who eats a lot of dumplings in Flushing,...read full review
Tiny restaurant with a wait, but it was worth it. You aren’t allowed to order more than one time, so you have to decide on everything all at once. No second chances! Which we thought was hilarious that if you were still hungry you would get denied a second round of food. But we get it. They don’t want you hanging around for a leisurely meal. Other guests are waiting for your table!! And again, the food was soooo good that it was definitely worth following their instructions....read full review
Small restaurant with a few tables serving authentic Chinese dumplings that are so good! It’s not surprising that it can get busy here so try to go on a weekday or off hour to avoid a wait. Food comes out pretty quick too so not too bad if you have to wait a little. The Scallop and Pork dumplings were my favorite with the Green Onion Pancakes. Parking is in a plaza that gets filled up too so can be a bit difficult. Overall, great choice if you’re able to get in!

Meet Dumpling is a small, family-owned restaurant in Point Loma that offers delicious Northern Chinese food. The restaurant is known for its handmade dumplings, especially the green onion dumplings, which are fresh and flavorful. Customers also enjoy the scallop with shrimp and pork dumplings, as well as the chicken and sweet corn dumplings, each containing around 14 or 15 dumplings. The zha jiang mian is a popular choice and offers good value for the price.
The space is cozy, seating about 20 people, with simple decor. The friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere, and peaceful music adds to the relaxing experience. Though there might be a short wait for a table, it is well worth it for the quality food. The green onion pancake is another favorite, flaky and crispy with just the right taste. Diners can see the staff wrapping dumplings through a small kitchen window or buy frozen dumplings to cook at home. Side dishes like cucumber salad and celery with peanuts add vibrant flavors to the meal.
Overall, Meet Dumpling is a great place to enjoy authentic Chinese flavors and friendly service, making it a must-visit spot in San Diego.
