“Went here for Persian new year, a.k.a. Nowruz, to help mend the distance from my family. Being a vegan, I was reluctant to go to a Persian restaurant. But boy was I proven wrong. They had so many options for us!We had delicious impossible koobideh kebab with rice, gheymeh on tahdig, dolmeh, salad shirazi and kashkeh bademjoon (without yogurt). So many options, all so delicious! And the service was top-notch. I wish I would’ve asked the owner’s name; he was a delightful human being with absolute passion and love for his restaurant. I will be returning here, and I will definitely bring my family when they come and visit. Thanks for accommodating us underdog vegans and thank you for making my Nowruz special. ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan-friendly!“
“I have been wanting to go here for years and finally had a chance to go with my wife for a Friday lunch. Parking can be a little tough, but there is free street parking and pay lots nearby. The restaurant atmosphere is super cool inside and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. We got an appetizer platter and loved it. We ate the entire appetizer platter, including extra Pita bread, and almost ruined our appetites before our entrées arrived. The main meals were delicious. I also got the vegetarian platter with 4 different items and different rices.I will definitely go again (next time not on a Friday during Lent so that I can try some of the entrées with meat options). I will also recommend to friends and others.Vegetarian options: Wide variety of vegetarian options with excellent flavor profiles and large, hearty portions.“
“We have ordered several times for delivery. Everything we have tried has been great. However every time we order the side salad that comes with entrees is never included. It is so frustrating. They always credit us money for the oversight but it doesn’t satisfy the palate when you wants some greens to complement your entree.“
“Really delicious and fresh food! The chicken kabob was cooked to perfection, tender with the right amount of flavor. The salad was fresh and simple and great dressing, seemingly made fresh, as was the hummus. The chicken shawarma wrap was delicious, my partner who was not previously a Mediterranean fan now sees the appeal (win!)We live in town so will definitely be coming here again for our Greek fix.“
“Best Mediterranean food in the city . Fresh , and flavorful as if they cooked it at home. These cooks are cooking with love . Very nice to talk with and friendly . Very clean and tend to your needs quickly and respectfully. My go to spot and it should be yours too. Highly recommended. “I’ve been in the US for about 9 years and I’ve been in different states/cities. I always tried persian pizza everywhere. Kabob Lounge is the absolute best. I loved the taste and it really took me back home. The management is extremely welcoming and kind. I recommend all the dishes at this amazing restaurant.“
“Was a toss between 3 and 4 stars but ended up giving 4. Ordered the soltani, chicken kabob, and cucumber yogurt dip. First I thought it was kind of weird for them to give garlic Nan instead of Persian bread but the Nan was tasty. The chicken kabob was very good and tender so I would definitely recommend. The soltani was a different story. The koobahdi was standard and good but the filet was not filet. It literally tasted like carne asada which I have never experienced at a Persian restaurant before. Price point was on the level for the quality of the food.“
“Incredible service, staff is always friendly and very respectful of the timing in which they bring out the food as well as the bill. Food is always fresh and healthy every time we come, my favorites have been either the kebabs or the lamb shank. Such a peaceful place to dine and have fresh quality food.“
“Great place for a quick bite or sit down and have a conversation around good food. Lamb kobideh was great. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The service was quick and the portions were also good. It was fresh. They also have a spicy sauce on the side, which was great. Would definitely recommend it for lunch.“
“Darband is wonderful!!! 3 months old! Exquisite salmon kebabs at fair prices. So much fresh yummy food — freshly cooked salmon, rice, tomato and pita with pepper and lemon and a salad!!! So happy you’re here in the ‘hood. Delicious Persian food! ;-) You must stop in before the line is around the block.“
“We went with another couple and had a variety of different items including appetizers, entrees, and wine. The appetizers were delicious with unique Persian flavors. The chicken was tasty and juicy and the fillet mignon skewers were also very tender. The wine was very good. All in all, it was a delicious meal enjoyed by all!“
“Grilled shrimp bowl with herb rice was excellent. Fresh ingredients and robust flavors. Portions were normal sized and I got enough to make me happy and full. There is some seating inside (4 tables), but also a nice courtyard outside for additional seating. Friendly and courteous service.“
“Visited this restaurant with my parents as it's in there regular rotation of places they dine out at. The food was great. I loved the chicken (and I'm picky about restaurant chicken). I will definitely go back when visiting them again.“
“Amazing location, great food, and kind staff. We got there, and the cashier recommended dishes that were all really good, we sat down, and the food came out in 10 minutes. The staff were all extremely kind. They let us bring pizza from next door to eat as an appetizer. They are also great for larger groups of people, I went with 10 others, and they had space for us instantly. I really enjoyed the food and recommend the wraps.Vegetarian options: You can ask them to remove meat from your meal.Dietary restrictions: Very large selection“
“Absolutely, the most delicious Persian food in all of San Diego may be in all of California, and maybe in all of United States. Had the beef Barg last night it was spectacular. Very delicious. I love this restaurant and I love the owners. I highly recommend it. If you haven’t tried Persian food to try this Restaurant you will fall in love with it. You will definitely get what you pay for at this restaurant. The world famous chicken is to die for super super delicious.“
“A Delicious Taste of Persia on WheelsJust had a fantastic lunch at Namino, a Persian food truck. The food was absolutely delicious! I went for the Shirazi Ash, and it was perfect. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something flavorful and satisfying. On top of the amazing food, the staff at Namino were incredibly friendly. Ali, in particular, was very welcoming and helpful. He definitely added to the positive experience.“
