Panda Express in San Diego

“I've been to this location many times and have always been satisfied. This visit was different. I decided to go with the Sweet Tea, sat down, took a few sips, it wasn't sweet. I said something to the manager, she had another employee bring me sugar stating she would have it fixed. No one bothered to put sugar in the container, so I switched to Coke. Meanwhile as I sit eating my food I end up right next to an employee situation where it seemed two employees weren't getting along some they were having a serious conversation with one of them in tears. Very unprofessional!!! Don't have your employee reprimands or whatever this was next to paying customers. They didn't pay for lunch for the entertainment of watching an employee squabble. I'm sure you have an office back there to have your meeting in. So not only was my problem not fixed, all of the employee attention seemed to be hanging up on this one girl!!!“

Parking here is nightmare. Most spots a compact. I have been trapped in parking space and to enter the car thru the back hatch. Hate the parking lot. Have taken to parking on the street overland street“

“The food was good the only problem is that I was missing my other half of the plate 😅 I ordered teriyaki and orange chicken, it was already too late I was already at work when I opened my plate and saw that I was missing the teriyaki chicken and only had some pieces of orange chicken, but other than that everything was good.“

Elliott was super nice, friendly, patient, and best of all, packed the family feast to the brim 😎🤩 and was incredibly professional and nice when I asked about the price of the family feast. When I went in Sept 2026, it's $50 for the family feast. It used to be $35 and I was surprised, so I felt at ease by the professional and kind response given on the price change.“

“I'm very much a Panda Express enthusiast. I appreciated how they were willing to give me a sample piece of a particular food I wanted to try, in addition to my order. In this day and age, certain Panda Expresses (like the one in Escondido, CA- for instance) have actually declined my inquiry for a sample of a certain food (in addition to my purchase.) I think it is important to honor the customer's request, especially if they are already spending money. I have always looked forward to my Panda Express samples over the years, and I appreciate this location for honoring that. ♡♡

“First, Am SO SO glad that this Panda Express location had the plant based Orange Chicken. Didn't have it when i got there about an hour before closing. But they cooked some fresh for me and am SO THANKFUL for that. Also, the young man who took my order was super friendly. “I normally don't eat out at fast food Chinese restaurants due to the poor quality of the food.

However, I was pleasantly surprised today for a more pleasant experience at this Panda Express location on the Naval Base. We ordered the Family meal that was more than enough for 4 hungry people with extras to bring home. Sahar helped our family with providing 3 freshly prepared dishes upon request. We didn't mind the 15 min wait.

She was incredibly attentive and respectful in her communication and honoring us as though we were the most important customers she was serving.

The teriyaki chicken was prepared without the sauce which we asked for. The beef broccoli was perfectly made with bright green colorful broccoli that were delicious. The Kung Pow Chicken could have used much less sauce in order to enjoy the flavors of the veggies and chicken.

“I really do appreciate good customer service, but the young woman behind the counter went above and beyond. She not only suggested I add their app to my iPhone to get a 20% discount, but patiently helped me do it when I was fumbling with the process. What surprised me though, was that there was no option to tip when paying with card, and no tip jar on the counter. I would have liked to throw the employees a couple extra dollars, but was not given the option. I think this is a huge disservice to the employees. Please do the right thing and at least add a tip jar.“

Panda Express does a very good job of providing the same great food and service at each and every one of their locations. This one here in the San Diego Mission Valley is no exception. But after eating it, I found that it is also quite remarkable.
You can order two kinds of meat on one plate, and you can order half and half of the staple food (rice, noodles and vegetables can be ordered as you like)
Today I ordered grilled chicken thigh steak and orange juice chicken.
The grilled chicken thigh steak is really delicious. Even in Taiwan, it is considered a delicious grilled chicken thigh steak.
I heard that orange chicken is a favorite among Americans and wanted to give it a try, but the overall dough was too thick and the sauce was too sweet.
Noodles are okay for staple food. I don’t recommend it for rice. I will order half vegetables and half noodles next time.

“I went in response to their fundraiser for Surviving Cruelty Animal Rescue which I was given a flyer and was really impressed. I had the plate of Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken with brown rice and green veggies. It was very good and I very seldom eat at fast food places, but I will be back. I think it was the busiest place in the food court, the line never slowed down. The staff were really nice, and they worked really efficiently. I have been in hospitality and notice the details, the staff were focused, friendly and patient with people. The place was clean and organized. I will definitely be back and I love that the corporation is giving back to small local rescues. Made me feel really good.“
