“Gaglione's cheesesteaks are (obviously) the best in San Diego. My mom's from Philly and I've been many times, and I still think Gaglione's makes the best cheesesteak I've ever had. It's a fairly small shop but the vibes are great, you're greeted with smiles and hellos when you walk in and the staff is just awesome. I wish I could remember the name of the gal who took our order (Feb 29 around 1pm?), she was just so sweet and helpful. She even came outside to bring us our food because we're not the brightest apparently and didn't realize we could not hear the orders being yelled out from outside. One of my favorite places to eat in San Diego and I will always recommend it!!“
“This is my first time eating at MJ's. Although we had the food delivered it still was warm and good. I had a regular MJ's cheese steak sandwich and it was very flavored. The bread was a bit hard, however the meat was tender and easy to chew compared to other cheesesteaks I have had. I also had Cajun fries which were seasoned quite well. Evenly spread, and not salty at all. And had no need to put any sauce or extra seasoning on it or anything. Overall I say give them a try! They are definitely worth the money.“

“Came here for the first time around 1:30 on March 1 Friday. Decided to stop by on my way home from UTC. Easy place to enter from Miramar road. Ordered the Joes Special and Philly with mushrooms. As I entered I was immediately greeted by a nice lady. Super friendly and helpful. Order was made fresh and quickly. She didn't call out my order number when it was ready she actually came out to the table and handed it to me and offered me hot sauce. Overall the food was good and service was great. “I found this place on a late-night eats whim on Postmates one night. When I tell you that this place is absolute FIRE, I mean it! The best Philly I have had in San Diego. The hoagie roll is lightly toasty and fluffy. The bell peppers, grilled onions, and mushrooms were well seasoned. Now the Philly Cheesesteak stands on its own, but get a side of the queso sauce to really set it off! Try it, you won't be disappointed. And if you are it is because you do not have a refined palate and that's a you problem“
“I've been meaning to write this since Feb (2 mo ago). I was hungry when I Googled "Pizza near me" and Hillcrust Pizza popped up. Santiago took my order. He recommended a pizza and said it was "really good." LIAR!! It was FANTASTIC?!! Santiago so undersold his recommendation. I've been back 3 times (and bragging to all my friends about the spectacular food), trying something new each time. The Meatball Hilly... so beautiful ! Very difficult to pick one as a favorite pizza because they've ALL been amazing!! Most recent orders for our pizza crowd were Golden Hill, Classic Cheese, Downtown, and The Boulevard (White pizza). A wide variety of choices where everyone felt they were a winner! And for those who routinely leave the pizza crust... to leave a Hillcrust Pizza crust uneaten would be a sin.Sorry no pictures.
