“I don’t know the guys name but i believe he has red hair and i ordered a venti iced caramel macchiato with extra caramel, line caramel cup, add whipped cream, and carmel crunch and it was DELICIOUS. I’ve never had a barista prefect my order this well i was in LOVE when i took my first sip. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I got my drink less than 2 minutes after i ordered. I totally recommend this place and love the guy who served me thank you 🙌🏼“

“The staff are consistently kind and always make my drink correct. I recently ordered through the app and accidentally ordered an iced drink although I wanted it hot (my fault), and they remade it anyways. This is the best, most efficient, and most consistent Starbucks I have ever visited.“

“We were working on a mobile wheel repair job right across the street from this Starbucks in Downtown San Diego, so I stopped in to grab a couple of Dragonfruit Energy Drinks for myself and the technician I’m training.
I own Bling Em Rim Repair, a same-day mobile wheel and rim repair company serving San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara areas. We work seven days a week up and down the Southern California coast, and Starbucks is one of our regular refueling stops between Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, and luxury wheel repair appointments.
I waited in line and learned that this location does not accept cash. I stepped outside, grabbed my phone, came back in, and thankfully they accepted tap-to-pay. The staff handled everything professionally, the drinks were great, and I was still able to leave a cash tip.
As a business owner of eight years, I do have one suggestion: Starbucks should make its cash policy consistent across every location. When some stores accept cash and others do not, it can create unnecessary confusion for loyal customers who travel between locations.
Overall, the employees were friendly, the service was smooth, and the drinks gave us exactly the boost we needed to finish another long day of mobile wheel repair in Downtown San Diego. Five stars for the team working today.“

Little backstory, I was meeting friends at this location before a Father’s Day golf match. Ended up leaving my phone in my Lyft. “This was the first Starbucks I ever went to. Must have been going 30 years as I grew up locally. A classic now. I think it’s busier than ever - that’s the one hard thing as sometimes can be a long wait. But today was fairly quick! I like the oat milk chai , extra hot, as a treat, every now and then!“

Noelle is very kind and professional. She seems to have her system down. I bet corporate loves the way she handles the store.

Kacie is an absolute sweetheart. She has excellent social skills. I observed her with coworkers and people in the drive through. She even chatted with me for a few minutes during her break.

The drinks are reliable, if a bit overpriced, and the menu rarely surprises. It’s more about convenience and familiarity than standout quality. “I like this store but my one complaint is the fact that in the bathrooms when you press down on the water in sink it keeps running…. Even when I try to pull knob up it doesn’t stop. It’s very wasteful and unsustainable. I’m not sure how long the water keeps running but when I brought it up to barista she said that it was normal and would turn off eventually. “This is a convenient Starbucks location for residents of Poway, Rancho Bernardo and Rancho Penasquitos, close to where SR 56 meets I-15. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Other shopping, including Ralph's and Trader Joe's, are within walking distance.“

“Today I came in to place an order for 2 drinks. I brought my 3 year old malinois as we were on a walk. We got fast service, a pup cup, and we're on our way.
My dog, suddenly distracted, lunged into the bushes after a lizard causing me to drop one of my drinks from the drink carrier.
I went back into the store, explained simply that I had dropped my drink and without question, they remade it.
Simple, fast, efficient, and without interrogation. Would highly recommend! Thanks guys!“

“Super convenient spot if you're staying at the Residence Inn Downtown/Bayfront or Intercontinental. Its practically next door. Never crowded, even during peak morning hours, and for our three daily visits, every team member was super friendly, cheery and pleasant.

“Nate was running the Starbucks all by himself with absolutely no help and was killing it. 5 people in line. The fact that there was no one else there to help him is messed up. I just spent 2 hours playing a video game on the laptop I have inside of Starbucks while my tricycle and dogs remained outside.
