Starbucks in La Jolla

“went to Starbucks again to hang out for a bit and just get something to drink while I killed time. the place was clean and well-maintained, and the seating was comfortable enough to just sit and scroll or think. my drink was made quickly and tasted consistent with what I expected. overall the experience was simple and chill, nothing too crazy, just a solid place to relax for a while.“

“I wish I would have paid more attention to the names of the lovely individuals that assisted me with my order. It was 2/7/26 around 7:15pm (closing) a sweet older woman and another beautiful individual. I was interested in trying one of the new matches from the featured menu. I was kinda nervous to do so because I don’t usually stray away from my usuals. These lovely women were so refreshing and kind. I asked for the best recommendations for my matcha and they told me if I didn’t like it they would happily remake me a different kind. The drink ended up being delicious and will be my new go to drink.. so thank you for the recommendation! And thank you for the refreshing customer service as someone that also works in the customer service field. For a Saturday night at 7pm they really seemed so pleased to be at work. Whoever is the manager of this Starbucks must be a gem. Despite not having the names of these ladies, I hope the date and time frame can narrow it down on the schedules and they can get the flowers the deserve. Cheers!!“

“I stopped in here before my hour drive home from La Jolla recently. I couldn't figure out the parking and ended up grabbing an open spot in front and making a quick run in. This location has such a positive vibe! My app wasn't working (I usually order ahead for mobile pickup) so I was lucky enough to have Kirsten wait on me. She was a joy - so friendly, incredibly helpful and patient with me. I appreciated her help, especially after a long day without coffee, and my drink was perfect! Highly recommend this location A++.“

“Despite the old weathered look of the interior the place was made better by the staff.
They were all very friendly and kept the shop clean. The service was fast and the lattes are yummy.
It is a bummer the interior of this coffee shop is so ugly with the stained cushions and awful wall color because the location and staff make me want to come back again.“

My coffee was made PERFECT — smooth, flavorful, and exactly how I ordered it. You can tell he actually cares about the craft and pays attention to the details. That first sip? Elite. 👌🏽

On top of that, the customer service was top-tier. Friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Daniel brought great energy and made the whole experience better. It’s always dope when someone takes pride in what they do.

“We stopped in right in the nick of time before they closed for the Christmas holiday. We were grateful that they were open at all. Our drinks were tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the public folks that were there (and around town), but I wanted to leave this 5* review for the staff who took a major hammering from a number of customers that surrounded us.
