“If you are craving great Southeast Asian comfort food in Kearny Mesa, this place delivers on taste, but the arrival process is stressful. The plaza has horrible parking, and we had to aggressively fight for a parking space with another car before we could even walk in. Came here on a Saturday around 6 pm with 2 friends.
== FOOD == We got a beef pad see ew, khao soi, and a pork rice. All the food was pretty good. I took off one star because it seemed like the pad see ew was smothered in white pepper.
== SERVICE == Service was a bit slow, but we think it was because we were waiting for the rice to be cooked? However, the staff was polite, apologetic about the delay, and very attentive. She gave us free mango sticky rice.
== AMBIANCE == Interior is very nice and there is bar seating too. The bathroom is also very clean. If you don't mind a slower-paced meal and a chaotic parking lot, the amazing Lao and Thai flavors are completely worth it!“

“I discovered this restaurant through a colleague in the culinary field, and her recommendation regarding this discreet Laotian establishment was indeed accurate.
According to the proprietor, this restaurant has been in operation for 35 years. I was very pleased to learn about this establishment and finally had the opportunity to experience its offerings.
During my visit, I sampled three distinct food items and a generous serving of Thai iced tea.
The Laotian sausage was exceptionally well-prepared. Its tender and juicy consistency is noteworthy, and it is prepared in-house by the owner. The use of chopped, rather than ground, meat provides a distinctive textural element that enhances the culinary experience. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite.
The crispy pork belly was also commendable. It featured thinly sliced pork belly, lightly floured and expertly deep-fried, which paired excellently with plain jasmine rice.
The Lad Na with chicken is a signature dish of the establishment. It is characterized by its comforting and mild flavor profile, along with the distinct char imparted by stir-frying the noodles. The dish is accompanied by additional condiments such as vinegar, sugar, or chili to customize the taste.
I am eager to return and explore other menu items, including the beef jerky and various soup selections.“

“The food here is delicious. All the ingredients tasted very fresh.
For an appetizer I tried the chicken wings - nice and crispy with a very tasty sauce. Also had the Pho chicken which was great, I will definitely be back for it.
Nice and quiet atmosphere. Went at lunchtime and was surprised I was the only one in there since the food is so good.“

“I loved their lao papaya salad! Only thing was at spicy level 10, I tasted no spice. I guess this is a ME problem. I eat too much spicy! Their lao sausages are also so good!
Service was fantastic and its nice and quiet here. I would definitely come again for lao food.“

“Excellent fresh locally sourced Thai and Laotian food. Small family owned place with great prices and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this gem in a mini mall on Broadway in Chula Vista.“

“I went there to eat with a coworker for lunch earlier today. It was my very first time having been there. I was recommended by a couple of my friends. The restaurant was pretty spacious and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the laab seen (ລາບຊີ້ນ) a Lao minced beef salad and the tom khueng nai (ຕົ້ມເຄື່ອງໃນ) a Lao beef innards soup with some sticky rice. Lunch was delicious. I will definitely be going back there again. I will be bringing my mom. She was actually the person that had brought up this place to me before as well. See you again in the near future.“
