The avgolemono chicken 'n rice soup is comforting and delicious. I also ordered a steak kabob plate and he actually asked me how I like my steak cooked. How great is that?! I took it To Go and found it was perfectly medium rare as I ordered it, (of course). Nice sear on the outside and marinated tender on the inside. Gluten-free options available. “It was my first time here and I like that they have a bakery and grill inside the grocery store. I met up with some friends at this location, but actually went to the the wrong one at first LOL. We shared a platter, apple salad, tabouleh, hummus, etc. The platter was huge and very nicely presented. It had skewers of Chicken Tikka and Beef Shawarma, served with different kinds of rice. Both salads were refreshing and hummus was great. The giant pita bread was bigger than my head! Before we left, we decided to get a tray of baklava as well. Everything was delicious and service was excellent.“

“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“

The food was delicious as always, and the service was impeccable.They didn’t have the bistro beef kabob I ordered and they provided a wonderful alternative which was the lemon garlic chicken kabob including an extra side of fries, AND A $30 FOOD COMP FOR OUR NEXT VISIT.The only thing I’d change about this place is the music playlist. “This is a new Afghan restaurant in the Claremont Mesa area. They are both a grocery store and a restaurant put together as one. They have a wide variety of Afghan dishes. So far I have tried the Mantu - Afghan dumplings with meat sauce , garlic , green onions and yoghurt. I also tried the chicken kabob - very good boneless pieces of chicken bbq with rice mixed with raisins, carrots , nuts and spices. So far this is a great restaurant and I will definitely come back.“

The veggie toppings are super fresh and flavorful; the meat is perfectly cooked, not dry; the tzatziki is balanced and delicious; and the pita is soft and tasty. “This is my go-to place to bring my large Book Club.The patio saved us during the pandemic and continues to do so... it is large, covered and has heaters.The food is consistently ok/good with choices for every budget and many dietary options. Not fabulous, but for the price and convenience of counter/fast service, its a solid option. Plus, their loyalty app offers good deals. Wish they'd bring back shrimp though!I wish they had a warm beverage option... coffee, tea, etc. All the drinks are cold.The service and convenience of the best part. Ordering ahead online or in the app means almost no waiting, but even ordering at the counter is pretty swift. The staff is always helpful, friendly and goes out of their way for us. They're really nice to check on us throughout the evening, fix any (rare) issues, let us linger a while and clean up/rearrange tables etc after we leave.The location is good, the restrooms and restaurant always clean and there is always a lot of easy, free parking.Only thing is, sometimes the music is very loud and depending on the staff member they might not always turn it down for you.Big shout out to many of the staff members, namely Ytzul.Parking: Lots of free, close parking in the attached lot. It is a strip mall and you can park very close to the restaurant. Dedicated curb-side pick up spots too.“
